RARE 1955 Ford Monarch Richelieu!!!
One of only 353 built in '55
Canadian option car only, it was not available in the U.S. But almost identical to the Mercury.

The Richelieu was the top of line model for 1956 so that means lots and lots of chrome trim, the interior has almost as much as the exterior.
The Mercury Monarch was Ford's way of introducing extra price lines for Canadian buyers. The Monarch came in three editions, Lucerne, Sceptre and Richelieu. The Richelieu was considered the top of the line for Mercury in Canada. This is one of only 913 Richelieu hardtops built (all years combined). They were produced by Ford of Canada in Oakville, Ontario. They all had Y block 312 V8 engines. You'll see differences in the grille and side trim from Mercurys produced in the U.S.

This car has recently come available from a private collection by an avid Ford/Mercury collector . The car still sports its factory original blue paint on most of the car and is still clearly available on the fire wall with the roofs original Classic White paint.

Fully optioned with an automatic transmission, tinted glass, power steering, wide whitewall tires, fender skirts, dual exhaust, driver and passenger fender mounted mirrors and a clock and radio.

This particular car has been well cared for over its life it has recently had its original engine and transmission out and fully rebuilt and detailed.
