The Black Bird here is a " Rare Species ". To begin with, it is Landau Coupe with a Q code 428 cu in motor. It is backed up by a C6 transmission and a 9 inch rear end. The car is fully loaded with all kinds of power; Power Seats, Power Windows, Power Vents, Power Attenna, Power Steering,and Power Disc Brakes. It also is equipped with Air Conditioning, Cruise, Slide away Steering, AM/FM Stereo, and an Overhead Console. The car's restoration was completed in 2014 and only approx. 300 miles were traveled since then. This baby started as a rust free Virginia car and the exterior was stripped and repainted in BC/CC and then 5 stage sanded, buffed, and polished to high gloss finish. The stainless was then polished to like new and the bumpers and all other metals where treated to anew chrome finish. Then the owner added the Kelsey Hayes spoke rims and new rubber. The interior was treated to a complete update including all of the following being replaced new: Carpet, Floor Mats, Headliner, Door Panels, and Seat Covers. The mechanicals were all rebuilt or refurbished: Motor, Transmission, entire Brake System, and Exhaust. There has been a lot of Money invested in the completion of this car.
