Description for Ford Falcon 1961
This is an original paint (raven black) deluxe wagon with AMAZINGLY CLEAN red and white interior and PERFECT headliner. The car was last registered in 1987 and was parked in a garage in NJ until 2013 when I bought it and shipped it here. Has 67. 0 miles on the car and the rubber seals are soft and look new along with the interior. It has a rare (for a 61) 2 speed wiper motor instead of the vacuum wipers that are standard. The engine was seized when I bought it so I bought a rebuilt 170 and had the head rebuilt at aims machine shop. I have only put a few miles on the car because the brakes are still not done so I have only driven around the block a few times using the E-brake to stop. I have a bus that I am building that consumes most of my time/money so this has been waiting. Transmission is a 2 speed auto drives and shifts nicely. I have only gotten the car up to 40 MPH because I was afraid to drive with only the E-brake. I lowered the front by cutting the springs and the rear with 3" lowering blocks. Putting it back to stock would be easy. Put new springs in and remove the blocks. I upgraded to 14" mustang wheels and all NEW tires Still have the rubber "spikes". Being from NJ it has some rust. the driver side rear quarter panel needs to be replaced and the passenger side wheel well needs repair. I have a quater panel cut out from a ranchero and an NOS dogleg for the driver side and the wheel well for the passenger side. The spare tire area needs repair also. Other than that there are small 4" squares on each front fender that need repair and surface rust on the hood. Has a bunch of new parts I. E. radiator. rebuilt engine. rebuilt head. NEW tires. gas tank. fuel sending unit and new metal brake lines (still in the box)also have an exhaust manifold from a 200 and a bigger exhaust pipe. Not included with the sale but can be had for an additional $500 are the 4 lug Tru-Spoke wire wheels. chrome lug nuts. and Scarebird disc brake adapter brackets. made to keep the 4 lug but convert to disc brakes using readily available parts.
