Description for Ford F-350 1973

Up for sale is a very rare 1973 Ford 350 Super Camper Special Truck. It is estimated that only approximately 2500 of these trucks were built between 1973 and 1979. This truck has an extended wheelbase of 140 inches. The rear axle is set back approximately 8 inches further than a standard pickup and the truck box is specially designed to accommodate this. The special design gives a spare tire compartment on the passenger side of the truck bed and allows the truck to better carry the additional weight of a slide-in camper.
The truck only has 50,484 miles on it! The truck has dual fuel tanks, an original AM radio, power steering, power brakes, a 390-V8 engine, and a 4 speed manual transmission. It does not have air conditioning. This truck was examined by a local body man. The truck is solid and there is limited surface rust. There is very light hail damage on the hood. There is a dent in the front bumper as seen in the pictures. There are other small dings as would normally be expected with 50,000 miles of use around a farm. There is a left taillight lens in the glove compartment to replace the broken one as seen in the pictures. As you can see in the photo, the seat appears to be in excellent condition. We pulled the seat cover back for the picture as far as we have ever pulled it back. The sear cover appears to have been put on fairly soon after the truck was first purchased.
I bought this truck in 2007 and only drove it that summer. I put it inside my building in the fall of 2007. I have started it up a couple of times a year since then. Prior to me purchasing the truck, it had been in a shed for approximately 2 - 3 years.
Again, this is a very rare, very solid truck, and could easily be restored. When we looked this truck up for Blue Book value, it was listed as being worth $11,000 on the low end and $20,000 on the high end. It runs good, drives good, shifts good, and brakes good. It is a quiet, smooth running 43 year old truck! Please note that this truck is for sale locally and auction will end early if truck sells.
