It has been fully restored and it’s absolutely stunning! It comes in the color combination of Rangoon Red with a Red Crinkle Vinyl Pony Interior. 1965 was the first year for the Mustang GT and it screamed performance in many ways. From the decorative trumpet style chrome dual exhaust tips with louvers, decorative fog lights, sporty three lower horizontal stripes on each side of the car with "M U S T A N G" silver lettering, to "GT" badges and a decorative "GT" rear gas cap. The A-code, 289 motor had a 10.0:1 compression ratio and provided more than enough punch. With the estimated curb weight of 2,400 lbs, the 225 horsepower motor provided excellent drivability! Forty seven years later the Mustang GT is still going strong using the same formula of a flashy appearance package, a powerful V8, great handling, and fantastic braking – all of which are still found in a rear-wheel drive configuration.
