Description for Ford Bronco II 1987
One Owner! New Mexico Vehicle! This is very much one of the most solid Bronco IIs remaining here in the Midwest. We acquired this four wheel drive Ford Bronco II from its original owner and had it shipped up from New Mexico, so it has never seen a Minnesota winter. The prior owner obviously cared for his truck, and it shows. The fuel injected 2.9 liter v6 purrs like when it was new. The 5-speed transmission shifts well with a strong clutch. Suspension is tight and steering is good for a 30-year old mini-SUV. All options, including ice-cold air conditioning and the aftermarket CD player with AUX-in work well. The prior owner was careful to replace everything as it needed serviced, and didn't let any routine maintenance fall behind. We went through it with a fine-toothed comb, remedied any minor issues, and drove it extensively to make sure it is ready for the new owner to enjoy. All in all, this is a very nice driving, economical, fun throwback SUV that gets a ton of "thumbs-ups" and is a blast to drive! Please note that the odometer is a five digit model, so there is no reliable way of knowing the mileage.
The interior is in very nice original condition, with good carpeting and upholstery, though there is sun fading on the front seats typical of a vehicle from the southwest. The headliner is brand new, and the carpet appears to be newer as well, though it could have just been very well cared for. There are a few cracks on the dash, but trim, gauges, and controls are otherwise all operational and in nice shape.
The body on the truck is in very nice shape, including the underbody and frame which are extremely solid. Unlike midwest Broncos, this one does not have rust. The white paint appears to be a good quality factory-color respray, with black "chip-guard" paint added on the lower portion. No major dents or dings are present and the body panels are all remarkably straight.
This Bronco II is the "XL" model, but does include some nice options, including the previously mentioned cold AC, a 5-speed overdrive transmission, cloth seats, external full-size spare, aftermarket CD player with AUX in, power steering and brakes, v6, factory wheels in nice shape, very good tires, 4-wheel drive, with high and low range, and more!
The tires are very nice all-season radials with tons of tread left. All fluids have been changed, so all routine maintenance should be app to date. We replaced the heater core, fan clutch, front and rear brakes, and ignition switch to make sure it is fully sorted mechanically. It truly needs nothing but a new driver to enjoy it. Despite the record cold temperatures we have had here the past few weeks, the Bronco has started easily each and every time.
