Description for Ford Mustang 1968
This a rare car that with some finishing work by you could be a 20k plus car. From the factory it was a black 390 GT 4 speed car with black deluxe interior. It has a 3. 25 locking ford 9 inch rear from the factory. I bought this car from a long term owner who was setting it up to be a flat black street/strip car and never finished it. I was going to go with the factory look and was getting it ready for paint. I did go with the blacked out fiberglass front and rear bumpers. I put in a good running 428 engine with a C6 automatic trans to make it more my style (I left the clutch pedals in so it could easily be converted back to a standard if someone had the parts). It has new reproduction original style 390 valve covers so the engine looks stock but has the power of the 428. The shock towers were notched by the last owner so headers fit better so I installed coated headers on it and have a brand new dual exhaust kit thats included (not installed - still in box). I have new wires for it but they need to be installed. Needs a few finishing touches to get her running like connecting the coil wires. hooking up heater hoses. the battery. grounds and maybe a couple other things. If you are handy its easy stuff. There is a new aftermarket shifter included with the car that needs to be installed. new trans lines are also included. trans filter and speedo cable- a whole box of new parts as shown. The engine ran well before installed in this car and I believe the HP rating was around 365HP. The driveshaft is included but will need to be shortened because of the trans change. Has a recent master cylinder and disc brakes up front helping it stop- yes the brakes work. There is also new shocks in the rear. The interior has the factory tach and even has the clock in the guages which is a rare and expensive part. There is also an overhead console in the car. The Interior needs some updating but is overall presentable. The dash is worn so I have a new dash cover that goes with the car. The car has some old patches underneath but seems overall very solid. The drivers side torque needs some patching but overall its pretty presentable. The car has factory GT wheels (not repros) and tires with less than 500 miles on them. Put a little time and money in this car and you will have a valuable car on your hands. You are welcome to come inspect the car before bidding. Selling the car as is where is. Please ask questions before bidding. $200 deposit due with 48hrs of auction close. full payment due within 7 days of auction close. Bidders with negative feedback will be removed. Car comes with a CT motor vehicle registration and bill of sale from the last registered owner transferring the car to me and a bill of sale from me to the new owner. CT doesnt have titles for cars this old but the registration is included which shouldnt be a problem with any state but be sure to check with your local DMV before bidding because this is all you will be getting from me- again- no title being a CT car.
