Description for Ford Falcon 1961
Highlights:Arrow straight, rust free California car. Mustang II IFS, Ford 302 V8, T5-Z transmission, Currie 9” rear end, 4 wheel disc power brakes, six point cage, sub-frame connectors, Auto Meter gauges, Painless wiring, Ididit steering column, Flaming River steering wheel. The parts list alone makes this price a steal, let alone the expert work.
Fast, reliable, solid car which has spent its whole life in California. Most work done professionally.90% complete, but ready for fun.Small list of things to be finished, mostly interior (see list below). This car is a light, quick, street machine-sleeper with the potential for a lot more power.
The restoration is about 12 years old and a bit weather beaten, but the car isnotrusty and you willnotget any ugly surprises when you get it home. The paint isn't perfect any more, but the body is inexcellentshape. The chrome molding around the windshields and windows are imperfect.
Drivetrain is virtually new. I’m selling because I just don’t have enough time to drive it much.
I will help ship anywhere in the continental US, but buyer is responsible for arranging all shipping and/or pick up and all costs related to shipping and pick-up.
· Body- Arrow straight, clean and rust free, professionally restored about 12 years ago. Paint is dull and there are a few imperfections and a nick in the rear corner (see photo). Bumpers straightened and chromed. Floors are 100% solid. Most of floor has been covered in Dynamat.
· Ford 302(non-roller, stock heads) w/Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, Mustang shorty headers,MSD 2 ignition and MSD 6ALbox. - Has about 6,000 miles on professional rebuild. Dual exhaust with H-pipe and turn downs after the axle.
· Rod & Custom Motorsport Mustang II IFS w/2” lowered A Arms and power disc brakes– No shock towers! – Has about 6,000 miles on it.
· T5-“Z” 5-speed (overdrive) transmission done by Modern Drivelinew/Centerforce clutchand MD’s famously smooth clutch linkage.Pro 5.0 shifter. Transmission can take big power. Practically new.
· Currie 9+™ Ford 9”rear with Explorer disc brakes (and sway bar)– 3.70 gears, 31 splines, Torque Sensing Differential™.Bullet proof, barely used. Rear sway bar.(This piece alone would run you about $3K.)
· Six point roll cage(welded),and Global West sub frame connectors(welded)
· Shelby Under-rider traction bars(welded in).
· Auto Meter gaugeson a custom panel. – Need to hook up the speedo.
· Painless Wiring throughout vehicle– including modern fuse box. Every single wire, switch and connection in this car is new and expertly executed. Battery in new condition.
· Ididit adjustable steering column(stainless) with emergency flasher knob.
· Flaming River steering wheel.
· Juliano’s 3 Point Safety Belts– bolted to the roll cage for extra safety.
What it does not have:
Windshield wipers, AC/heater, radio or antenna, glove box, headliner, dome light, carpet, rear package tray, back seat, door locks, trunk lock, interior handles, window regulators (need rebuild), interior (cloth) door panels, sun visors, window channels and “fuzzies,” exterior emblems. Basically you’ll need to do the interior. You will want to hook up the emergency brake. You will want to paint the interior trunk and engine compartment and get a back seat or do a firewall. (This is all stuff you can get to as you enjoy the car.)
With the sale comes:two (2) new reproduction arm rests in black color; two new reproduction sun visors in black color; various window channels and “fuzzies”; professionally painted (black) interior metal pieces for A and B pillars; and metal interior panels (just below windows) painted black by professional body shop. These would be installed once you complete the window regulators.
