Description for Ford Galaxie 1962
Another one from our collection of barn finds, I know they are as they are stored in our barn/storage building, not all barns are full of crap and debris that is left to collect on cars. I have owned this wagon for over 30 years, it has been moved from barn to garage to storage warehouse where it is now. Yes we have over 100 cars, that are going to be liquidated through ebay or perhaps an all out auction.
This 1962 Country Squire was purchased by me from the original owner in a small NJ town of Nixon, near highland park, it had spent all of its time in a garage when I purchased it back then, I used the car forsome time as a regular driver, and then decided to park it and restore it at a later date.
The body on this wagon is overall very solid, minor rust in the dog legs, and the rear bodymounts have somerust, they are pictured, the floors, and frame are very good, the rear compartment under the floor is solid,, there is minor rust in the bottom of the quarters, this is after all an original never patched Squire. The faux "wood" rails are faded, there is a broken one on the right rear door, and a small crease in the door as well, I have a replacement molding for that door. The wood grain is faded, original you can still see the planking lines.
This wagon is equipped with a 352, automatic power steering, manual brakes, and is a 6 passenger car, it was however ordered with the 9 passenger second seat that folds forward for access. The wagon does run well, it was running and moved around the building not too long ago, the brake pedal is kind of hard, the brakes do operate, I am sure this car will need a going over to be a daily driver again. The gas tank is not stale, it will start right up.
This Country is being sold AS IS, No Warranty either express or implied, with a clean NJ title in my name, I have a 100% positive feedback rating here, and have sold some of the collection to collectors in the U.S. and abroad. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding, this is a contract, be ready to complete the sale if you are the winning bidder.
Personal inspections are welcome, and there are no wrong questions, this wagon is behind at least 12 other cars, it will take me a couple days to get it out once the car has been paid for in full. A $1,000 pay pal deposit is required within 24 hrs. of auction close by winning bidder, and vehicle must be paid for in full within 3 days. No negative feedback bids will be accepted, and 0 feedback bidders must contact me first or your bid will be denied, we all have to start somewhere.
Good luck bidding on this Squire, and please ask questions before bidding.
