1982 Ford Courier- Very unique truck. It was a complete frame off with everything under the truck painted. The process took nearly four years to complete as a father/son project.
Most of the underside of the truck is still in great condition. The engine compartment and front fender wells are painted candy brandywine and are still in good condition.
The body is in good shape with some surface rust around the convertible top bows. There is a small rust spot in the seam between the bedside and the rear corner. The truck was repainted in parts and doesn't match well. The body is the most solid I know for a truck of this age. When the truck was first built the hood, fenders and front aprons were replaced with factory ford parts. The rear of the cab has two cut through spaces that line up with holes if front of the bed that were previously used as speaker ports.
The interior need to be redone. The seats are from a Honda Accord but have faded due to their age. It had carpet but was removed due to fading and age. I have a new molded dash cover and a used replacement gauge bezel to include with the sale. There is no radio and the passenger side of the dash has a cut away where the stereo was once installed.
The truck has had several body modifications. The emblems have been shaved along with the door handles and bed tie downs. The tailgate handle is shaved with the tag frenched in the lower corner of the tailgate. There is also a welded in steel rear roll pan. I just put new set of tires on it and have driven it a few times to check it.
The convertible top was purchased from radical tops 27 years ago. The abs parts are in fair shape. The front bow on the truck is split but still holds the top. It is a hard top and soft top kit. I have the hard top which is shown in pictures. The complet frame for the soft top is included. I also have the soft top for the truck but it has a tear around the passenger side window frame which needs to be repaired.
I have owned this truck for nearly 30 years but don't have the time to devote to bringing it back to its former glory. It was completely built several years ago, but has sat and needs some work. If you want a truly unique, one of a kind mini truck that just need a little work, this may be the truck for you.
