Description for Ford Galaxie 1966

MAKE US AN OFFER!! YOU NEVER KNOW!!This listing is for a really nice survivor 2-Door 1966 Ford Galaxie 500. We took this car as a locally owned trade in on one of our classic motorcycles. It appears mostly original and complete. If you are hunting a nice Galaxie 500 to restore or restomod. this is it. Has the right number of doors. 352 engine with automatic transmission. Both look to be original. Clear Tennessee title in hand. It has had some recent work under the hood which you can see in the pictures - new master cylinder. new plug wires and coil. It runs good once it is warmed up as the choke is not connected. Shifts smooth. Turn signals. headlights. speedometer. odometer. windshield wipers and horn all work. Even the clock is ticking!! The original AM radio does not work but we have not checked it. Might be a simple fix. All the glass including the windshield has the "Car Lite" stamp. Windshield has a 4" scratch from a bad wiper blade which could probably be polished out with some effort. We have 300 plus pictures of this car so you can see it is solid and basically untouched in years. It does have some rust through in the front section of the frame rails (not a major fix) and the trunk floor. The lower quarters have had some patchwork at some time in its past. A really solid car to start with as you can see from the pictures. There are good pictures of all these areas plus everywhere else. Comes with the original keys and ignition. The ignition key lock cylinder retainer is not functional so the lock cylinder can be removed easily. It does work properly with this issue. The starter safety switch needs adjusting as you have to wiggle the shift lever to engage the starter. Both should be simple fixes. Please look at all the pictures carefully . It's hard to find one in this condition. Ask any questions you may have. This vehicle in time will only increase in value. Don't let it get away.
