This is a 1939 Ford truck that has been modified with a 1940 front clip. Modifications were completed to a high degree of precision. This is not a hack job. The paint job looks great! I haven’t had the truck wet sanded and buffed since the completion of the truck. I added a third brake light (FORD) to the rear of the cab for that custom look. The bed of the truck has been completed with fresh stained and varnished wood kit with stainless inserts. The fuel filler has been inserted into the driver’s side fender. The frame of the truck is original 1939 that has been structurally upgraded by boxing in the front end and rear end area in order to be more ridged. The front suspension was removed and replaced with a Mustang II power steering front end. This truck tracks nice and rides very well. The power plant is a 283 that has very little miles since rebuild. the block has been color matched to the exterior. The transmission is a 350 turbo that has been resealed. and serviced and shifts very well. The rear end is a 9” that has been rebuilt with new seals and bearings. In the rear I have added air shocks that are plumbed to a built-in air pump. By simply flipping a switch you can raise the rear of the truck to the desired look of a low rider or hot rod look. In the interior you’ll find a bench seat that has been reupholstered that looks great. The dash has been covered in leather to match the seat. The steering column has been rebuilt and painted to match the trucks exterior. The steering wheel is out of a 61 Impala. The dash is out of a 49 Pontiac streamliner. All gauges – fuel. temp. oil pressure. voltage. and speedometer all work great. The truck has a new Painless wiring harness. I have new interior window cranks and door handles. also have the door panels. The truck is ready for you to finish out for the carpet and interior panels of your choice. Customize it as you see fit.
