Very Special original special ordered car!

This is a 2 owner car, First was the grandfather and then, the car was willed to the grandson who restored the car.

This car was ordered early 1964 as what would become a K code car. Due to the factory not being able to supply enough cars early 1964 with the correct option, this car came to the dealer as a C code, a 289 2 barrel and a 4 speed with power steering . The dealer installed the 4 barrel, Power brakes and Air Conditioning.

This Mustang has both 1964 ½ parts and 1965 parts. It was built August 19th 1964!

Notice the A on the wind vents, Slot for spare tire holddown and the hood at the fenders!

Has numerous options such as;

  • Air Conditioning (is currently unhooked)

  • Power Steering

Car is smooth and pleasant to drive. Great car to take to your concourse shows and for weekend fun that will attract attention wherever you take it to.

The Body is in great condition and has been sand blasted, coated, and painted. Paint is of very high driver quality and has a mirror finish to it. Body is a rock solid rust free body, and all detailed undercarriage. The Body is straight as an arrow.

An incredible amount of attention and detail has been placed in this car. It was a very well done restoration.

All the outside chrome is in very good shape and original, but not show quality.

Underneath all floors are in excellent shape (Mustangs built anytime in 1964 didn’t have torque boxes.)

Ok the story,Car was special ordered because of the wait on Mustangs, This mustang was special ordered for August 19th 1964, It was ordered as a 289 4 barrel solid lifter, 4 speed, PB, PS car, what came was a 289, 2 barrel 4 speed, PS, C code, (go figure) owner had the dealer install the PB and 4 barrel, Owner took delivery in Jacksonville Fla.. He took the car home and his wife thru a fit because of the no air, he took it back to the dealer who installed the air. He drove the car from 1965 to 1995 then couldnt shift the car anymore, so he then gave the car to the son who drove it until 2013, who then decided to restore the car. He restored it insisting on keeping as much as original as possible. He passed in 2016. A dealer in Miami bought the car out of the estate and that is how i ended up with the car.Remember this is only the story that came with the ca, No way to prove it true or not true!
