LOOK NO FURTHER!!!
Even local Chevy guys have praised this incredible Mustang that I will attempt to give a brief description of “please sit back and enjoy”!
If you have any questions or want to know how to capitalize on this once in a life time opportunity don’t hesitate to call (314) 497-9470!
THIS CAR WILL BE FOR SALE LOCALLY AND THE AUCTION CAN STOP AT ANY TIME!!!
1969 is no doubt the best year for the FORD Mustang! While many argue about what body style is best most tend to agree that the drop top is king!
There is a great deal that can be said for the 69 convertible that you see pictured here.
It was purchased by a high school principal in Iowa during the summer of 1969.
He took possession of it at Crown Ford which was only about twenty miles from his residence.
The car was used extensively over the first decade primarily as a daily driver. However sometime around the mid eighties he parked it and the family began to utilize a station wagon which was better suited for his kids.
After his retirement the car was put out to pasture and offered for sale. Another local product who knew of the cars lineage bought it and enjoyed it for approximately seven years before it was parked yet again for an extensive amount of time again for various reasons.
Years later after his final child was sent off to college he embarked upon a restoration that would not reach its climax until 2015!
I was fortunate enough to hear about the vehicle
By a gentleman who had the privilege of rating it at a car show.
Nonetheless I will talk about one of the first things that seems to been atop the second owners priority list “to make sure it was beyond respectable”!
It is nearly impossible to not fall in love with this Mustangs exterior! The black enamel paint that the shop applied was laid down with expertise!
Being an accident free garage kept vehicle surely made the job a little less intense (all body panels seem to be original to the car. It doesn’t take a millisecond to appreciate the contour of each)!
The craftsman who was enlisted to handle to the bodywork was employed at Ron Willey Ford in Nevada Iowa. He himself had a collection of vintage Fords and was awarded several times over for turning out some of the best muscle cars in the region!
At any rate there are no major imperfections to be found along the circumference of the cars entire body.
All corresponding gaps, lines and tooling dimensions are in agreement with factory specifications.
Many man hours were spent prepping the car to ensure correct continuity!
Let me say at this point the finished product is simply breath taking! The exterior is smooth to the touch and extremely shiny!
I myself had been a fan of brightly colored cars for many years however this little Mustang quickly changed my mind!
The aphotic based Raven Black enamel almost looks wet in direct sunlight (mirror finish)!
It also really magnifies all of the chrome appointments wonderfully (especially at night)!
During the restoration process each and every piece of stainless trim / chrome was either completely refurbished or replaced with N.O.S. sanctioned parts.
This includes but is not limited to the; door handles, locks, rocker moldings, head light bucket trim, emblems, gas cap, grille, running horse, fender script, antenna, exterior markers, wheel lip moldings, and too much more to list!
Another special conversation piece are the flame red rocker panels racing stripes that grace the lower body line “wonderful contrast & the perfect touch”!
This Blue Oval still has the Ford racing staple iconic hood scoop firmly attached to the body with menacing sport racing mirrors!
There’s yet more good news “all of the supporting glass is intact and securely attached to the tracks! To anyone who is familiar with the 69 convertible models enduring problems with the door glass “this is welcomed news”!
The original front glass was clay bared (crystal clear) and protected with Cobra clay mitt.
New windshield weather strip has been added at both pillar post to shield the interior from any moister.
A new ebony black canvas convertible top rests along the roof line “that looks incredible”!
The upholstery shop appointed StayFast to supply the top which is formulated with a higher grade material than most brands on the market.
There’s yet even better news…. The top is manual! That means no leaking hydraulic lines, noisy pumps, expensive failing hydraulic cylinders, cracked hoses, etc!
Just release the top handles and it lowers with ease!
Although this pony car looks fantastic with the top up it is even more impressive with the top down!
She looks great from every angle and has even garnered the praise of Pinnacle Auto!
Ready for any venue
SHOW OR GO!
Now that I have talked a bit about this Mustangs exterior let’s see what she has to offer inside.
Upon opening the door of this vintage Ford you will quickly appreciate its uniform clean interior!
The onyx black upholstery throughout is in excellent condition! The seat covers are like new…..flawless (front / rear)! The complete interior was restored at Old Town Upholstery in St. Louis Missouri.
The seat buns, seat cushions, seat covers & almost every other stitch of this cars interior was replaced in (2015).
Extra cushioning has been added for better lumbar support. You will notice an immediate difference once you sit inside in comparison to many of the other classic Mustangs on the road today!
The dash pad, sill plates, quarter trim & attaching hardware are in pristine condition (all gauges functioning)!
A new N.O.S. console shifter plate and handle was properly installed as well.
The original Ford steering wheel is free from damage “no cracking”!
Before the interior was positioned back inside there was a brand new full length carpet ordered from Missouri Mustang to be installed.
Displaying pony pride is a cinch “thanks in part to carpeted embossed floor mats”!
Looking left to right you will find a subtle pair of pitch black door panels with new hardware. The upper door trim has been upgraded with a textured composite material “rarely seen”.
The interior lights are still shining bright & the dash lights are actually functioning properly!
All & all the cockpit of this Mustang represents the exterior well.
This car actually takes you back to 1969 each & every time you climb behind the wheel!
There’s a nice trunk mat with a highly coveted double red line tire that is tucked away inside “great for the local car shows”!
Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… I will talk about yet why a few Chevy guys hate it!
No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!
The heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 302 engine. Although the short block is original to the car it has been transformed into what “Matt Johnson’s Performance Shop” coined
MIGHTY MOUSE!!!
To start the block received a set of performance pistons and Manley pro series connecting rods!
Additional Edelbrock stainless valve components back up the lower end!
A new Edelbrock carburetor and a Performer II intake feeds the fuel (painted to match) COMPLETE SLEEPER!
The entire system breaths through long tube headers!
The pedestrian valve covers and factory air cleaner makes this Mustang look stock!
Factory watermark decals are there to impress the judges on cruise night!
Truly must hear & drive to appreciate FORD!!!
EXCELLENT HORSE POWER & TORQUE RATIOS!
THIS PONY RUNS STRONG!!!!
Preventative maintenance has not been neglected either! A new performance coil for better spark was recently installed.
Joining the fight to ensure that this little pony would have respectable street numbers are high output opti silicone spark racing plug wires and double gapped plugs and vacuum advance!
This one leaks no fluids! Thanks in part to new waterpump, thermostat, gaskets, seals, fuel pump and oil sending unit! Charging is also optimal since the car has had a new alternator, OPTIMA battery, belts, starter and just too much more installed too list!!!
You don’t have to be a gear head to understand the final and yet simple equation ………….
LET’S LISTEN!!!

One trip in this Mustang makes it nearly impossible to want to return home! I recently drove the car approx. 60 miles without a hic cup! I found it hard to pry myself out of the seat when it was time to go!
There is also a fairly new radiator installed to help keep things cool!
This vintage vehicle has had almost every item under the sun addressed in every way to ensure trouble free operating and care free fun!
If you have been looking for a classic Mustang that you can drive with confidence then look no further (reliable)!
This car also has had the suspension refurbished in various ways. (Amazing ride & handling)!
It has fairly new brakes in front with a great set of non asbestos brake shoes in the rear! It also has recent wheel cylinders, brake hardware, etc installed.
Helping to sound the sweet note song upon ignition is a custom chambered dual exhaust system!
40 series Flow Master performance mufflers are dumped underneath “not protruding from the rear like most”!
When you hit the throttle of this Mustang a certain infectious vibration can be felt!
Here you have the total package. A classic Ford Mustang that sounds & looks incredible!
To top things off there is a flawless set of 15x8 inch Magnum rally wheels installed “wider than the typical 15x7 inch wheels” (BULL DOG AGGRESSIVE STANCE)!
Placed at all four corners as well are a set of brand new white letter performance tires!
You won’t make it a city block without someone’s camera phone flashing!
Don’t miss out on your chance to own a quality investment! You may find another classic Mustang but you will be hard pressed to find one like this!
There is an old saying you get what you pay for
“In this case you will be getting more”!
There is a very reasonable reserve that has been placed on this car! It will be for sale locally!!!
The auction can end at anytime…..don’t miss out!
As if it couldn’t get any better I waited to mention one of the most important parts last!
SHE”S SOLID UNDERNEATH!
The car still has its factory floor pans!
I have taken a couple of photos showing them “structurally sound”!
This vehicle has ROCK SOLID frame, torque boxes, etc!!!
ALL INSPECTIONS WELCOME!
This is an investment grade classic car that will only continue to appreciate! Factory manual & car cover included.
