We have here a 1968 FordT-5(Mustang). Due to copy right infringements the Germans could not call them Mustangs, therefore the T-5 came about. There is no significance to the T-5 name other than it was ford projects name for all 60's Mustangs. This particular car is part of the Ford T-5 registry.
There was a total of 3631 total T-5's Imported for all years and all models between 1965-1973 In the 1968 hardtop model there were ONLY 286 Imported to Germany. Within the T-5 Registry there are a total of 33 total 1968 Hardtops recorded. Very Rare!
This particular car was brought back to the states in 1987 where it was purchased from a gentleman in San Francisco. The car has been kept in a garage for many years and been restored in the last few years. This is part of a nice collection of various Mustangs. Paint on thisT-5is less than a year old which is a very light Sea Foam Green with a very nice contrasting black and pearl interior. Everything works as it should down to the factory radio. Original color way for both the exterior and interior.
TheT-5is equipped with a 289 V-8 that has less than 500 miles on the complete rebuild including the transmission. Car has a total of 91,000+ miles. This car is an 8.5-9 driver car ready to be driven or taken to the local car shows. Drives very nicely and tight. Gaps are very good on this car. You will very rarely ever hear about a trueT-5as most Ford enthusiast don't even know about their existence. There is no Mustang badging whatsoever.
