Description for Ford Bronco 1967

Looks like car guys have discovered that it's a lot of fun to play in the mud, too. Early 4x4s like this 1967 Ford Bronco are receiving high-quality builds that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. Yet this truck is as carefully crafted as a Mustang resto-mod, and probably more valuable to collectors today. The reason Broncos are so highly prized is that they were used up and thrown away back in the day, making clean survivors exceedingly rare. Following a comprehensive build that takes a few liberties in search of more off-roading prowess, it looks the way Bronco fans always imagined their trucks should have looked from the factory. Of course, the vivid bright red paint didn't shine like this in 1967, but it looks so good on the angular Bronco sheetmetal that you can hardly fault a guy for picking it. The steel underneath is straight, which is critical because straight and flat is the only shape on the whole Bronco body. The fenders have been clearanced for oversized fender flares and even the removable hardtop was treated to that sizzling red paint. The grille is black, but the simple bumpers are still chrome, the factory emblems are in place, and the tailgate still proudly wears FORD lettering. The interior is far more traditional, wearing black bucket seats that look strikingly similar to those found in the Mustang. With black carpets on the floor, it's a bit more polished-feeling than most of its siblings, yet the no-frills atmosphere actually works quite well for a back-to-basics truck like this. The skinny steering wheel is easy to grab and has a great industrial look that seems to work really well here, and fresh door panels help soften things up a bit so it's actually comfortable enough to be driven every day. There's a locking center console, new ice cold A/C, and an original gauge pod that includes the speedometer with auxiliary gauges orbiting its perimeter. Three-on-the-tree shifting with a T-handle for the transfer case makes it easy to get familiar with the Bronco in very little time, and it appears that this truck never had a radio. The hardtop is removable for a pure open-air experience but seals this truck up well enough that you never have to worry about inclement weather.A sturdy 170 cubic inch inline-6 generates the kind of smooth torque that makes this Bronco feel fast and agile, even on the trails. It's not a tire-smoker, but it would be a mistake to under-estimate this engine. Highly detailed, it has a high-performance Ford look that will be familiar, and includes upgrades like an MSD ignition system, oversized radiator, and the A/C compressor hidden down low where it won't be noticed. The one-barrel carb lives under a factory air cleaner with a reproduction decal and there's a chrome valve cover on the engine itself and we like the look. The chassis was also fully restored and there's more durable spray-on undercoating protecting the sheetmetal, a snarky exhaust system, and a modest suspension setup that makes it ready to play in the dirt or happy to cruise the streets. Polished aluminum wheels are flashy enough to keep up with the rest of the truck and wear oversized 33x12.50-15 Kumho off-road radials.Very fresh, very clean, and very fun, this Bronco is only the latest in a long line of high-quality 4x4s that are hitting the market today. Don't get left behind, take a great one home. Call today!
