Description for Ford Model A 1928
WOW! What a find. Restored 1928 Model A Ford Tudor Sedan. The motor number is low suggesting that this motor has always been with this car as the car was built in early 1928. We have had the car for two years. We bought the car from a local man who shared that he patiently restored the vehicle with a frame off restoration. He was also going to rebuild the motor but after removing the head realized the motor didn't need rebuilding so he reinstalled the head with a new head gasket. Everything was repainted and the car was reasembled with the help of a local Model A club member. The former owner took pride in his work. The car won a blue ribbon at a local show.We have driven the car many times and have had no problems with it. It hasn't smoked, knocked, or overheated. People are always excited to see the car drive by and will ask many questions when we stop somewhere. A prime example of americana and american history. The ah-ooo-ga horn brings many waves, smiles, and lots of enthusiasm. An exciting car to drive and easy to take down the road.
We haven't driven the car for several months. The battery is weak and on charge. The car runs perfectly as mentioned above. Life has just gotten in the way and the car has been parked securely in our garage.
The reserve price is very reasonable and below the average retail book value. We must stress again that this is a very sound car. It has no known mechanical problems other than it just needs to be driven faithfully. We hate to sell it but can't keep them all. We really do admire this car. We know the next owner will be excited to own this 1928 Model A beauty. This fabulous Model A is sold "as is".
