Description for Ford Ranger 1990

For auction/sale is a gorgeous custom 1990 Ford Ranger show truck with a 5.0L 302 V8 and a C4 3 speed automatic transmission from a mid 60s Falcon. The truck is a RWD extended cab with a fender flared bed and tons of chrome. The truck itself has 116,000 miles, the engine has roughly 25,000 miles on it( my pap told me that it had less than 20k when he got it, he drove it less than 3k miles and i the same, not exactly documented evidence but the engine looks brand ne, it was a show truck that was not driven much, i believe it to be true, even if it is off by a few thousand or even double in an extreme case, the engine obviously doesnt have many miles on it, it is so prestine and new). The truck has a bed cover with hydraulic lifts which hold it open and a locking handle, the bed is carpeted. It has chrome bumpers, grill, pipes, Wheels, trim, handles, and running boards. It has rear traction bars, a spoiler, brake switch and a gorgeous $3,800 red paint job. The interior is original red with fold out rear seats, the hood has mirrors on the inside. The Engine is a 5.0L 302 V8 with plenty of chrome, it has a pretty decent sized cam, a Holley Performance carburator, an Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, and MSD ignition, it is a beast and surprisingly not bad on gas. I do not know what else is done to the engine, this was my paps truck, he passed away 3 years ago and i have no way to acquire the information, he purchased it from another gentleman and wasnt the original builder. The truck is in very good condition, it was garage kept most of its life, it has always been well cared for. It runs great and has plenty of power, if you leave it in park and rev the engine the truck rumbles and rocks beautifully. It is a bit cold natured due to the cam so you have to allow it to warm up of course but it rides great, like a cadillac on steroids, it has tons of power, it has good torque, accelerates fast and is extremely smooth the whole way through. The engine performs exactly as it should withNO mechanical issues, the transmission shifts smoothly and also performs exactly as it should with no issues. The truck is in excellentcondition with NO mechanical issues or major defects of any kind, it is super clean, the body has no rust, no body damage, no knocking/ticking/rattling of any kind, this truck is cherry. it does have a few very minor issues such assmalland light areasof lightsurface oxidation on the pipes and traction bars(the left side traction bar has a decent amount, this can be seen in photo #1), the fiberglass bed cap has some minorpaint chipping at the very edge(pictured), this is the cap only and not the body of the truck, the passenger side mirror has some play, the red wipers are a bit faded, their is a stain on the passenger side carpet,it wouldn't hurt to replace or remount the transmission pan gasket(it has some very minimal seepage which tends to happen over time, this is a quick, easy, and cheap job), the brake pads and shoes are due to be changed(I already have them and this will be done before the auction ends). This truck was built right and very well, it is an amazing top notch one of a kind machine. I cannot express to you how fantastic this truck is, it isn't just a ranger with a 5.0 dropped in, it is fully built, it is sexy, clean, and nasty.Because of the unique circumstances which led to my ownership of this truck I do not have paper work for the parts that have gone into the truck, I can only tell you what I do know of but the engine seems to have more than just a cam and what is listed above, It has some pretty serious muscle. I am sad to sell this truck as my pap and I were very close but it needs special care and love and with me having a new business and daughter it is hard for me to provide it so my deepest hopes are that someone passionate will purchase it and care for it properly. I purchased it from my pap's estate and still owe the bank a small amount(less than the starting bid) so we will have to meet at my bank and finalize the deal, I will have it all arranged in advance. The truck is currently insured and tagged. This is an amazing 1 of a kind truck, their is no other like it, you cant take this thing out without people going crazy over it. This is the very first time that this truck has been to open market like this and it will likely be the last, do not miss your chance. I know that it can be scary buying a vehicle online but I am an honest and honorable man who only wishes to get a fair price for his pap's truck and leave it in good loving hands, you will of course have an opportunity to fully inspect it. I hoped to have uploaded a video but did not get it figured out, I will make another attempt or send it to any bidder that requests it. A deposit is due upon the auction ending and then full payment is duewithin 7 daysunless other arrangements are made. Please be a responsible bidder, I thank you in advance.Thank you so much for your interest and good luck.
