Listing a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 K Code HiPo Sports Coupe. They only made 100 of these cars according to the research I have done. This car is in very good condition and has 36,195 original miles and yes everything works correctly down to the radio and glove box light. This rare car was sold in 2012 at the Barrett Jackson sale in Scotsdale, Arizona. I purchased it from a guy that was selling a collection of cars locally and this car was one of them.
It has its original 289 271 hp HiPo engine and 4 speed trans and 9 inch posi-traction rear axle. The car runs very strong holding 60 pounds of oil pressure and the 4 speed shifts easily and the factory lock out shifter is tight and correct. The original Autolite carb retains its original metal tag C5OF J = 289 HiPo, also factory intake has the C5AE-9425 M = Sheby Mustang or Fairlane 4V intake. Everything under the hood looks to be original outside of belts and hoses, battery and plugs and wires. You can see in one of the pictures the drivers side inner fender is stamped with the vin number as well.
The car is very straight and gaps and seams align well. The car was profesionally painted red in 2012 so it looks great and I did not wash the car before I took the pictures but it still shines well.
The interior is mostly original and in excellent condition and it is correct.
There is no rust in the body that I can find or in the floors, the trunk has light surface rust.
