Description for Ford Explorer 1994
1994 Explorer XLT 4X4...this vehicle has a transmission seal leak, if you can fix yourself without having to send it to a shop, that is great, my quote to fix from a shop is 400.00 to 800.00 tops 800.00 would be replacing converter and something else I cannot remember. but worst case is 800.00...I have owned vehicle for 5 years now and it has been a great vehicle, traveled to Florida and back many times and to Missouri and back many times always run and did great..I was going to trade it off before leak, getting rid of because with all the traveling with the animals an maybe new camper, I need something bigger like expedetion or bigger, it have been a great vehicle never given me problems, not driveable because of leak, so need to transport...
Routine maintence performed, ie, plugs, wires scheduled oil change, fluid changes. new battery, belt, transmission flush, AC checked, new muffle, new headliner,
The interior has had seat covers on it since I bought it, and as you can see in excellent shape, except drivers side seat (See Picture) it belonged to a fire fighter as he was always sliding out of it in a hurry, so thats how i think the tear got there... I sewed it up once and it opened back up... he kept seat covers on it because of his kids...everything works except the drivers window, it is not the motor, i think it came off track, because of the rough driveway I use to have... I never fixed it...
runs and drives smooth, tires are about 4 years old, keeped rotated and balanced have still about 75 % tread
NOTE : As you can see in picture, the rear bumper has rust on it I cover it with piece of rubber, and the bottom of rear doors frame has little rust both sides, I covered with chrome tape... Thre hood, (See Pictute) has paint coming off in spots...
I have done my best to describe this vehicle if i left anything out I will add later, feel free to ask any questions you want or send a friend to come look at it for you, that is not a problem
