Description for Ford Mustang 1967
1967 Ford Mustang FastbackOriginal C Code 289 2bbl, upgraded to 4bbl carb89,000 1 Owner milesEngine rebuilt circa 1999, few thousand miles on itPower steering!A very original car with what appears to be mostly original paint.Nice whiskey dent in passenger door that can be easily pounded out in about a hour if you feel so inclined.Little rust on the fenders, a tiny bit on the doors. Front frame and aprons are really nice, just some surface rust, floors look good, rear frame rails are real nice, and passed the ice pick test.
I bought the car from the estate of the original owners son. Car was a California car until about 1998. The car was really taken care of well throughout its' life, the interior is like new, with a few "custom" 1970's speaker holes in the rear door cards.
It hadn't been driven in 3 years, I put a fresh battery in it and changed all the fluids and she fired right up.
This fastback drives so nice and solid, it is unbelievable. The exterior might not be so pretty because it is original, but it is a excellent car. This car could be driven the way it is. One muffler needs attention...(backfired), and maybe a bit of carb work, runs like a sewing machine, sometimes hard to get gas up to the carb. I suppose you can spend the money to paint the car and have a really nice driver.
Interior is excellent from the carpet to the headliner, a seam separation in both front seats, and a split in the armrest on the drivers side door. All lights, signals, horn, gauges, ect. all appear to work great. Motor runs like a Swiss clock. Trans shifts crisp and firm, brakes are tight and the car does not pull when stopping.
Just a great little C code fastback in good colors that has some...eh...patina...but not a bondo bucket and does not have stop signs for floor pans.
I wouldn't call this a "project" car, nor would I call it a show winner, its a great start for someone that wants to get into a a V8 Fastback without spending 50k. You could drive it, and do some improving over time. A great car to tinker with.
I see absolute junk sell for 25k...
