Description for Ford Mustang 1965

Original unmolested documented Kentucky "C" code car. Mustang was in final preparation stages for a repaint of the original red paint when Idecided that I really wanted a 69 Mustang Fastback, which we have located. This is the only reason for selling. Clear title in my hand and name.

Pictures say it all, but some of the details are as follows:

New Hood and Lower rear Valance
New windshield and seal to be installed after painting, also new molding.
New front-end rebuild, shocks, and bushings New speedometer cable.
New exhaust, Car does have headers and flow-masters.
New battery New interior parts: handles, dash pad, headliner, etc. New tires all the way around.
New disc (front) and drums in back, new emergency cables. Hoses and some lines.
New bumpers and all side trim emblems, many of the seals also, please look at the pictures. Mustang is always garaged when not being driven.
The refinishing was started on the bottom of the car and was worked upward, bottom of car looks as good as the top, only rust remaining to be fixed are two small places: inside rear panel 1/2"x2", and above differential same size, both easy to get to.(pictures of both spots). Fastback was an original Red car also, T-code.
I drive this car everywhere, most recent trip was on Sept 3rd to the Casey Popcorn Car Show which is 60 miles each way from the farm. Car drives straight as an arrow and draws attention everywhere it goes. This is a great car to complete and you will never go wrong with the first year for the fastback and a four speed V8 car. The engine block is stamped 5L3D (C5AE ) 6015E, which is for the 1965 (November) high performance 289-6 bolt, original motor for this car. It does have Hurst (not original) linkage on the original 4 speed transmission, new u-joints on driveshaft. Break down on vin id: 5F09c is (5 year, F Dearborn, 09 Fastback, C 289v8, 609616 unit number of 71,303 fastbacks made in 1965). Date code of engine. Trans codeis 5 for 4speed manual.
