Description for Ford Other 1931

1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Coupe with Rumble Seat. Before we get started please check my "Feedback" comments. 285 Feednbacks. 284 Positive (1 moron). I am honest! So you get what I know. Amitably am no expert on the "Bronze or Antigue" era cars. I restored a few cars but all were 50' or 60's; I know the collectiblity of classic cars but I do not know the specifics on these "antique cars". I bought this car some time ago with the intention of doing parades and shows (contest point shows because of the originality of the car. ) I had to give up on that idea because I just got to old. To the best of my knowledge this automobile is ALL ORGINAL. nbsp;just like Henry sent it out the door. The only none orginal parts are those that just got old or needed refurbising. I did have it repainted the orginal colors. again because of its age. I can't even tell if its ever really been restorted. I cannot find any overspay or new looking nuts and bolts. If you look at the last picture of the underside you will see the original color on the bottom the footrest part. It probably has been restored at some point. but it had to be frame off. I bought it from the private collection of ex-NASCAR driver Hershel McGriff. Always garaged. He has had it since 1971. There is a letter. that goes with the sale by the previous owner. testifying to its originality. dated 1971 I think you'll agree. its a beautiful automobile. Some facts: all mechanical items (motor. exhaust. chassis. transmission. etc. . are all strong and run perfectly. No problems that I know of. Don't forget. the transmission in these early cars did not have syncro gears. Have to learn how to double shift. They aren't the smoothest ride. they were built strong because there were no paved roads. in those days. The seats are or have been done in the original brown mohair material. See pictures of interior. The only flaws I can find on the car is that there is that someone caught the material and "ripped"a piece on the front of the driver's side seat. and an area on the passengers side on the side of the seat that looks like it was burned? You don't notice them if you're not looking. (See pics). The car has always been in the southwest (Arizona). There is absolutely no RUST. The doors open and shut as easily as if it were almost new. Hard to find on an automobile over 80 years old. All glass is original and perfect. Pop out front window and rumble seat fit and work great. My reserve is very low; so if you want an automobile of this quality. style an beauty for such a low cost - just bid. The underside is in very clean (I haven't detailed the bottom at all). (See pics). I am including an extra complete (brand new) tail light assembly the turn signal mechainism (also brand new) I got the extra light in anticipation of putting in turn signals. I KNOW THERE are experts out there who will disagree with something I said or whatever and will feel inclined to email me. and want to correct me. PLEASE DON'T. I'm not interested. Questions from potential buyers are more than welcome. I will be glad to assist your shipper in any way I can! A deposit of $500. 00 is required within 24 hours in cash or PayPal.
