Description for Ford Mustang 1966

No Reserve.

I'm selling a 1966 Ford MustangConvertible. 289 V8 C4 Automatic. It is complete. I consider this a project car that will need quite a bit of work.

I bought the car from a private seller Illinois in 1993. It was my daily driver for a decade, mostly while I lived in Texas and Oklahoma. It has been garaged every day I have owned the car and probably for a decade before that. It was originally yellow and a straight six. When I bought it, it was blue. In 1999, I had it converted to V8 in Texas. All the V8 parts came from a Texas donor car, including the correct 5 lug wheels and suspension.

Engine moves freely but it’s not starting. I am guessing because of a fuel system problem. It needs every kind of work you can think of. Brakes, steering, suspension, fuel, transmission, electrical, the works. It also needs body work, a new convertible top, door latch repair, etc.

It does have an engine that was rebuilt in 1999 and it probably only saw 2,000 miles after that. It also has an Edelbrock 4 barrel intake and carburetor.

Basically, I had kids 15 years ago and it hasn’t seen much use since then. I am hoping someone can give it a good home and give it the restoration I always wanted to do.

This is strictly an as-is car. As I said, it isn’t running and needs a good deal of work. And it will never be concours correct because it was originally a 6 cylinder car. So you should think of this as a restoration project toward a daily driver or maybe a resto-mod. It could also be a parts car.

I do have some extra parts including an extra set of 289 heads, the original 2-barrel intake and carburetor and brand new wrapped leaf springs and shackles.

It will need to be trailered to you as it doesn't currently run. Shipping/pick-up is the buyers responsibility. I can get you in contact with a transport company who is fair on shipping prices and can be trusted. Please feel free to ask questions. I will answer your questions honestly.

Please only bid if you have the money available. I prefer to be paid by bank wire transfer or cashiers check or cash in person.

The car is available most days to look over. I'm also open to having a hired agent to come and look at the car in person. I'm about 20 minutes outside of downtown Milwaukee. Thanks and have fun bidding. Remember, no reserve. Bid early and often.

Last note: If you have 0 feedback please contact me first before bidding. If you do not your bids will be cancelled and you'll be blocked.
