1966 Fastback Mustang GT350 Clone/Tribute

This vintage 1966 Fastback Shelby Mustang Fastback GT350 is a "tribute" car which began as two separate cars – the frame and chassis is from an original 1965 Ford Mustang coupe and the body was from an original 1966 fastback Mustang. I bought this project nearly 10 years ago. You really need to see this car to appreciate its authentic look. The car has won some small car shows.

UPDATE REGARDING VIN: We researched this issue and find that the engine code on the VIN is indeed "missing"; however, the number we quote on the listing is the number that is identified on our Texas Dept. of Transportation Title Application Receipt when we bought it in 2008. The number is also stamped on the frame of the car. We believe that this number may have been a copy of the original VIN stamp and possibly was a "typo." There are no identification numbers on the doors.

All we really know is what the title states which is a '65 coupe (which is the "07" in the VIN). We refer to it as a '66 "tribute" because of the Fastback body style. Body shops have inspected the car and cannot find any evidence of fabrication, so we believe the body is from an original '66 Fastback.
