Description for Ford F-250 1992

Low miles, Mobil 1 oil, bought new. Very minor mods. 460 injected big block engine. Alcoa forged aluminum wheels. Bed liner (trashed in rear of tailgate), toolbox, one side does not close well. Stereo upgraded to decent quality, CD, better speakers, nothing crazy. Never been hit or had body work. Minor damage around tailgate and rear bumper due to towing, hauling, etc -- tiny dings. Hub cap centers look terrible and I only have 3 spares -- still worth having ugly centers to have forged aluminum wheels.
Perfect interior except a mouse got it there once and nibbled at all the books and passenger seatbelt. No tears, good carpet, etc. Brakes replaced at 105k with Italia (I think that is the brand I think, I may have had to go another brand, not sure) slotted and cryo treated slotted disks. Green stuff pads. What I am sure is the brakes were all new (not turned or rebuilt) and had lasted that long. That was done after the tranny. Banks intake and exhaust (I have original exhaust if you want). Side chrome bars for rock crawling which we never did (probably break off with a good hit). Both of these done when new.

The HD option -- this is an F-250HD (or F250 HD or whatever) was rated about 400 lbs less than an F-350 and priced closer to the F-250. It is much closer to an F350 than an F250 yet it makes it have a lower price. Nothing seriously wrong with it at all. Perfect work or horse-person's truck. Does not burn oil.
Towing transmission put in at 115k? -- it has a VERY aggressive torque converter and increased line pressure. When not towing it shifts very hard, when towing smooth as can be. Was designed to tow or abuse off road for a long time. Some people don't like the hard shifts when empty but it will last much longer this way.
It has a U-Haul anti-sway tow hitch (from 92) which most new trucks now have. Instead of just attaching at rear it attaches across the whole frame making for a very stable tow. Front "crash bar" and other tiny upgrades. Tires a hair larger and brand new. Not lifted or otherwise modified in ways that would make towing unsafe and wear thing out. Have all (probably most more accurate) service records since new for your review. Rear ABS only. No reason it should not go another 150k miles with minor repair, proper maintenance, and good care,

Yes, the expensive 100k service was done (new serpentine belt, plugs, etc.). The 150K service was done with change of transmissionfluid and new screens as well as a full check of the tranny. Always starts and has never let us down. If you check sold listing (all two) on ebay this is cheaper. If you check F-250 it is mid-range. If you check F-350 it is very cheap. However there are a lot of thrashed ones or small blocks or standard cabs that are cheaper -- check the options!
It is complete including jack and it's parts and chewed on manuals. Buy it for work, horses, or just bad-donkey 4x4 truck. No rust. No bodywork, original paint. Never find better. We will consider reasonable offers.
The interior is close to perfect -- great seats, etc. On seat has a flaw where the lever to tilt it is. I had to bolt the tank switch on as it broke -- works fine, two bolt heads showing. On any of the things I am not sure about and are important to you, ask and I will find the receipt and PDF email it to you (or FAX). But please be serious -- it is inches of documentation not well sorted.
Mods were kept smog legal at the time installed so logic says it "should" pass smog ... but you never know.
Bring your horse trailer or toy hauler -- this will easily do the job and last a lot longer than a small block. I have friends that learned (twice) the hard way. This setup was meant to tow and haul and this it will do for you.
