Unmolested Car - same owner since 1968

This delightful 1930 Ford Model A is a rare example of the "Tudor" body style. With the popularity of roadsters and pickups, it is sometimes easy to overlook the Tudor, but it's simple yet charming lines and fully closed body make it a wonderful choice for touring or family fun. This particular example comes to us from a long term owner who has kept this little Ford in wonderful condition for the past 49 years! He discovered the car in totally original state, parked in a barn in 1968, soon discovering he was just the third person to own this car since 1930.
A fine original Model A, it has had just one respray and only very light restoration work as needed through the years. It present in wonderful condition today, with a pleasing patina that invites regular use. The Tudor body is excellent, with straight and clean panels, no corrosion to speak of and attractive paint on the body and fenders. Beside one paint job, the only other cosmetic work performed was to have the original bumpers re-plated.
Mechanically, it is excellent order, the engine running strong and the car performing very well on the road. The engine remains very dry with limited leaks and drips, and starts readily and easily as a Model A should. It presents in good order as well, with tidy, driver-quality detailing. We have sold a number of very good Ford Model As through the years, and this car shines as one of the best driving we've experienced.
One of our favorite features of this Tudor is the remarkably well-preserved interior. Original, unmolested upholstery is in outstanding condition, with no excessive wear or damage. The correct original instruments work as they should and the car shows just 33,000 miles, which while undocumented, could likely be original considering the condition of the car. Door panels and carpeting show little to no wear and the original glass remains in great condition.

The Deposit:
Please be ready to place a deposit within 48 hours of auction's close. All transactions must be completed within 7 days of the end of auction. If the car is not as represented upon your personal inspection at our dealership location, you will be under no obligation to purchase.

Tax, Title and License:
Local residents are responsible for applicable sales tax in your county as well as title and licensing fees. If you live outside of our state, you are responsible for applicable tax, title and licensing fees in your area.

Note: If the deposit is not received within forty-eight hours (2 business days) or if the sale is not complete within 7 days of the close of the auction, we reserve the right to sell to the next highest bidder or to another qualified buyer.

If your personal inspection is not possible, we will be glad to help facilitate an inspection by your chosen local independent service center and will make arrangements to deliver the vehicle to them for this purpose.
