We have gone through and converted this beauty into a camping van for 1-2 people. Have really enjoyed it for many years now, but husbands disabilities, make it so we can't camp anymore. Was driven from NC to NY and back, no problems, and has been a great daily driver, too. We have replaced: muffler, tailpipe from catalytic back, shocks, steering box, tie rod, radiator, brakes, transmission filter and pan gasket, AC compressor, battery, gas tank(only 1, 2nd one could be installed), fuel pump, in-line gas filter, oil changed every 3,000 miles, stereo, CB, newer tires-front=extra loads Michelin, rear=traction Goodyears. Included to make it a camper=110v AC unit, 110v wired for camp/etc. plugin, inverter with 2x 12v batteries, tv, dvd player, antenna, 12v toaster-type oven, shelving & storage compartments, full-size bed(can include the pillows, sheets, comforter, if wanted), curtains, 5-gallon water dispenser with cool & heat, steel folding table, 12-cup coffee maker, propane heater, portable toilet & chemicals, outside 12v camp light, trailer lights plugin, 1 7/8" ball & 2" ball & 2 receivers, blue tarp canopy with poles, serviceable Michelin spare tire. Built by Custom Coach Company. Along with 2 captains chairs, it does still have the rear bench seat, if someone wanted to convert it back to just a passenger van. Fuel injected, overdrive transmission. We have camped in it several times at parks, and it is also nice to be able to pull off in a rest area, sleep, then awake refreshed, for the drive to come.
