Description for Ford Model A 1930
Up for sale is a 1930 Model A rumble seat coupe. Neat old Model A for restoration. Clean. clear Florida title. When I got it. it had been sitting for two years. I put in a new battery and got it cranking. I drained the varnished fuel out and cleaned the carb. It fired right up. ran about 30 seconds and puttered out after it sucked in more crud from the fuel system. So it will need a total fuel cleanout including the tank to get ALL the crud out. The body is nice and straight. one tiny ding on the passenger side near the rumble seat. no other dings or dents. It has some rust and bondo. but certainly I've seen worse on an 84 year old car. The frame is solid with surface rust. There is some through on the right front fender and some at the lower of the rumble seat(and bondo too). some at the rockers(not bad there. just some bubbling). and a small spot on the bar that goes across for the rear bumper brackets. so expect to do some body work before paint. Also the running boards were replaced with Diamond Brite forever ago. Windshield cracked. all other glass is fine. and both windows roll up and down. Interior could use redo. unless you drive it as a beater. Other than a 12 volt upgrade(alternator). this car is really original and intact. Good survivor for a full restoration. or get it running. throw some new tires on it and cruise it around as a beater. Mileage. I'm sure is incorrect. unknown. Thanks. any questions. feel free. If you want to inspect the car before bidding. I have no problem with that. I can arrange that. just let me know. No crying or whining afterward. and Please serious buyers. you win the bid. you buy the car. Buyer to pay $250 deposit within 48 hours and the balance paid within two weeks. Buyer responsible for shipping arrangements and cost. The car must be picked up from my home in Boynton Beach. Florida. If you are out of state or country. I can hold the car a bit more than 2 weeks as long as you let me know before. we can work it out. But full payment must be within 2 weeksI reserve the right to end the auction any time. for any reason.
