Description for Ford Falcon 1963
This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura is the perfect mix of original '60s style with a healthy dose of Sprint-style V8 appeal.
The Ford Falcon has really come into its own in the classic car market. No longer just the car that fathered the Mustang, the sensible style has matured into an instantly recognizable flair. This is especially seen on the range-topping Futura trim that's been upgraded further to the Sprint package. Its premium status means this Falcon is dressed up with plenty of jewelry, ranging from the arrow-shaped side trim, to the neat "bomb sight" fender ornaments up front. Plus, this one carries nice 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels that look distinctively sporty without losing its vintage touch. It all looks great on a super-straight body that is looking sharp in a professional application of a very bold red. It makes this hardtop look premium, vintage, and tasteful all rolled into a compact package.
The full red interior was upgraded during this coupe's lifetime, and you know that by how fresh and clean everything feels. That's particularly nice, because the Falcon Futura had plenty of style. You see it in everything from the ribbed seats with white piping, to the intricate door panels that recall just a touch of the 1950s with their shiny polished trim. The familiar instrument panel has a Mustang-like appearance. Plus, the dash keeps everything period-correct, including the AM radio that's still on display. But more than just great nostalgia, as you slip behind the wood-rimmed sport steering wheel and grab the stick shift, you realize that this classic Falcon is meant to fly.
Ford's 260 cubic-inch motor is what made the Sprint cars so desirable. Topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, the V8 moves this lightweight coupe with some authority. That's especially true thanks to the control you get from the four-speed manual transmission. The engine bay backs up this sporty feeling with the additional bracer bar as well as the shiny valve covers and matching air topper. Out on the road, the dual exhaust makes a hypnotic rumble as you row through the gears. Plus, the front disc brakes and BF Goodrich Traction T/As creates a terrific all-around driving experience.
This is a true all-around classic hardtop. Fully sorted and ready to run, this great looking and affordable Falcon will be flying out of our showroom soon. Call now!
