Description for Ford F-100 1953
This 1953 50th anniversary F100 has spent the majority of its life in Texas. It drove its way to Missouri only a few years ago. It is exceptionally solid & original. As of recently, we have redone the bench seat, purchased new door panels (which still need installed), new battery, and have brought the Truck to the point where it will run and drive.
The sheet metal on this truck is absolutely phenomenal. The floors, firewall, cab corners, a-pilars, bed, fender flares, it is all solid. The top sides of the fenders have had lights mounted to them which we removed on the front fenders. There are two small holes on each side of the front fenders where the lights were ran. The bed of this Truck still retains its original wood. Which is a testament to just how well preserved this Truck is. The windshield and rear glass are solid. Both side glass are in tact but will need replaced as they are cracked. The doors on this Truck open and shut with ease. The patina on this Truck is absolutely gorgeous. Had I kept it, I'd planned to clear coat the entire Truck and leave it the way it is.
From what I was told by the previous owner (2nd owner I believe) was that the Truck still retained its original inline six engine. Mechanically it has had a tune up and all of the fluids flushed. It does run and drive. The only thing the Truck seems to require is some front brake work. The manual transmission seems to function smoothly with out any hesitation.
I recently had the seat of the Truck redone (December 2017) and it turned out very nice. I also have a brand new set of door panels that I've purchased and will be including with the Truck. The original paint and patina on the dash has been clear coated and it looks great.
This is an exceptional Truck to work from. It would not take much to make it truly roadworthy. If you need assistance with shipping, scheduling an inspection, or if you have just a general question or concern, please don't hesitate to call, text, or email. Have a great day.
