Description for Ford Galaxie 1967
1967 Ford Galaxie 500 FastbackApproximately 118. 00 original miles. 289 V8 with automatic trans. I have been driving it the last four years. I purchased from the original family owners. I had the brakes overhauled professionally. This included all 4 wheel cylinders. drums. hardware kits. shoes. and properly adjusted. The car stops very well. I believe the interior is all original. and in very nice condition. I have always garaged the car. and was told by the previous owner he did as well. The floors are very solid. I drive the car regularly and it rides very well on the highway. and it has always been reliable for me and never let me down. I have done several 400 mile round trips. The car can be driven as it is. or the next owner can of course do what they wish with their new car. For a 50 year old. I would say this one is in great condition. The trim over one wheel well is dented. and I am including a set of replacements for both sides. The body is quite solid. There was some work done on the quarters many many years ago. It was not properly done. New quarters are only about $300 for the pair. Some work was previously done on the frame as well. The right side rear rail has a spot where I can see some rust. but I have always kept the car garaged and it has never gotten worse. The gas gauge doesn't work. I read that the float getting gas soaked is the common issue. I bought a new float but haven't installed it. I understand you don't have to take the gas tank out to replace the float. The car has late model Mustang GT rims on it. and the front tires are one size too big. On full wheel lock while driving into a sharp turn and simultaneously hitting a big grade change. they can very slightly touch the inner wheelwells if you bounce the car hard enough into the turn. This happened so infrequently that I didnt bother changing out the tires as it was such a slight touch and such a rare occurrence. I added Pertronix electronic ignition with a flame thrower III coil. Original points are included. The oil pan has one of those oversize replacement plugs from a previous owner. so a new pan is in order. the 289 oil pans run about 45 bucks on ebay or elsewhere. I just never got around to changing it. The car has passed every inspection. and it is currently on the road. It comes with a NewYork State transferable registration. as NY does not issue titles for older cars. Thank for looking. and considering adding this good looking fastback Galaxie to your collection!Car is located in Clifton Park. NY 12065. Sold as-is where is without warranty or returns. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. You are welcome to come and see and drive the car to look at and verify anything you may wish to prior to selecting buy it now or making an offer. Car must be paid for and picked up within 7 days of the purchase of this listing. $500 non-refundable deposit through paypal due immediately upon purchase commitment. I am open to considering bikes. or?? Volvo S60. v70. v70xc. or xc90 with the 5 cyl. or possibly a Corvette. Probably not another classic car as the main reason for this sale is I need to open up a side of my garage.
