Description for Ford F-100 1956

Folks we have here a very rare bird indeed. A 1956 Ford F100 Panel custom. The base vehicle was a barn find in the mid 1990's, and was taken from that state to its present beautiful and operational condition.
This is a high end build, done with the purpose to make a driver, and a show car that needs nothing to be either driven everyday, or reserved just for shows. For most of its life, it has been a show car, garnering many trophies (Ihave all of them, and the new owner gets them). Was a frequent sight at Hot August Nights in Reno, NV.
The engine is a blueprinted 302 Ford Racing mill, with Venolia forged pistons, Edelbrock 600 CFM carb and manifold. MSD ignition. Medium lift cam, idles smooth. Dynos out at about 360 horsepower.
Ford C4 transmission. 9" Ford differential, custom twin exhaust by Dave Lucas of Edge Automotive in Nevada. Power disc brakes. The power steering (tilt wheel) and front end is from a Camaro. Has auxiliary electric fan. New radiator.
Air suspension all 4 wheels, with onboard compressor and fingertip controls in cab--works a treat.
Has VintageAir air conditioning, works perfectly. Power windows, shaved door handles with two remotes. Includes a high end Pioneer sound system with surround sound. VDO instrumentation. Boyd billet wheels all around. Tires are new. Glass is new and perfect.
Note the body work touches done. Refined, but beautiful. Note the one piece rear door, the smooth tail lights, the super bumper chrome, and the engine bay. Bodywork by Ken Coleman of Phoenix. The super premium paint job is Ferrari Red by Ron Temple of Bend, Oregon. The interior was done by two custom houses in the San Diego area. Also, note the cool hood ornament. Those were one of the only dealer installed options available for the F100. Very very rare. This one is a stainless steel billet repro, to the tune of 500 dollars, but its perfect. Sets the critter off real well, I think.
I have had the truck for a few years, shown only, it drives like a modern truck, tons of power. Currently has less than 17K miles on the build.
I had Campbell Auto Restoration and High Performance in Campbell, CA approach the vehicle after I bought it and they completely replaced the entire wiring harness on the truck with new, installed new fuse panels, and a remote battery terminal in the engine bay. They also replaced the wiper motor, serviced the vehicle, and brought it up to perfection less than one year ago.
Between the building owner, and myself, there is well more than 75K invested in this truck. I searched for many months looking for a 56 panel, before finding this one. I am selling due to early retirement and serious health reasons.
This truck runs perfectly, needs nothing. Had a complete professional detail two weeks ago, stem to stern.
