RARE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE AN ORIGINAL MUSEUM QUALITY 1921 FORD RACER/SPEEDSTER ONCE OWNED BY INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY FOUNDERCARL GRAHAM FISHERCARL GRAHAM FISHER This is a very rare and coveted. museum quality example of a beautiful and unmolested. mostly original (not original paint) 1921 Ford Speedster with the original. all-steel early 20th century custom speedster body and mounted with five (5) extremely hard to find 21" Disteel solid steel disc racing wheels (plus rear mounted spare) with original Firestone period correct racing tires. original period correct monocle windshield. original Ford tools with boxwood tray (by Stanley) and other period correct early American Speedster automotive accoutrements. Included but not pictured are the left and right cowl (bonnet) engine side mount covers (removable) and unmounted steel exhaust pipe heat guard. This vehicle was recently deaccessioned from a very large. private mid western museum collection of pre-war American racers/speedsters. nbsp;board track racers. early midgets and sprint cars. This magnificently preserved early "big bodied" speedster was once owned by Carl Graham Fisher co-founder of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. and the car has spent most of the last 50 years in temperature controlled warehousing and maintained by museum curators in several venerable racing car collections in and around central Indiana. literally in the shadows of the fabled Brick yards of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
