Description for Ford F-100 1964
You are looking at a real California Cruiser that is a daily driver! This 1964 Ford F-100 Short Bed Pick Up Truck that has the right "Original Hot Rod Look" The body is straight and solid with a "Old Red Patina" paint job. It starts, drives and stops well. It has a 427 Big Block V8 engine, tuned up with Mallory Unilite Distributor and Coil. New Water pump, 12V Pull Fan, and Aluminum Radiator keeps this truck cool. Edelbrock 4brl Carb with electric choke and matching chrome dress up. The V8 has dual Flowmaster exhaust that exits out both sides of bed with chrome tips. C6 Automatic Transmission shifts well with a gear selection made using a Hurst floor shifter. New Interstate 12v Battery, Alternator, and wiring. The Power Drum brakes were bled and adjusted and rubber brake lines were replaced. It rides on 15" Chromie Rims and 235/75 Skinny White Wall tires and Baby Moon Caps. Leaf springs at all four corners with I-Beam front suspension. Handles like a old pick-up, that said it goes straight down the road. Very nice painted grill, front bumper, and amazing Bardon Rear bumper with
receiver hitch for trailer hauling.
The interior is very comfortable with solid floors covered with black carpet. Vintage style blanket covers the stock recovered Bench Seat, Seat belts, Red Door Panels & Arm rest, and a Grey headliner. AM/FM/CD Radio. Stock Gauges function as well as the added Stewart Warner Gauges including- fuel, temp, amps, oil pressure. Working Wipers, Lights, and Turn signals. All of the original Ford safety flat glass, windshield, and back window are crack free. All windows roll down and wings open freely. The inside passenger door handle is missing. Overall just a solid old truck, See pics!!!
In a nut shell this is a one of a kind classic! Turn the key and go cruise! This is not a museum quality car rather it was built as a fun car for someone to just enjoy as a nice driver or take it to shows not a trailer queen by any means but it's a cool truck. The paint is not perfect far from it with scrapes, chips, a couple dents and runs but that is what gives this truck its style and soul... because of that any and every-time I drive this truck I get nothing but waves, thumbs ups, conversation, I cant come out of a store with out
somebody standing there looking in!
This is a California Truck and always has been to the best of my knowledge based on the original Folsom Prison stamped Black and Yellow Commercial Plates. It is a good driver with clear CA title. Visible Vin and Body Tags. Drive as is or restore it, must see to appreciate!!!
