Description for Ford Other Pickups 1952
Launched in 1948, the legendary Ford F-series began as a replacement for the previous car-based pickups. For the first time, Ford was building pickups on a dedicated truck platform creating a much better workhorse than previously available.Ford's 1st F-series generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model years, but significantly changed in appearance from year to year making each version unique and pretty rare. While trucks sold well, most were obviously used work heavy workloads leaving few surviving examples in excellent condition.... GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very nice 1952 Ford F-1 for your consideration. The truck has benefited from some minor restoration as needed over the years, and some of the dark blue paint has been resprayed and touched up over the years. Overall the paint does look very nice, with good gloss over the straight body. Lots of cool body features are present such as headlight brows, running boards, blue dot tailights, dual spotlights, window guards, flat tip V8 dual exhaust tips, wooden bed and 15in 8 hole Ultra wheels with Goodyear tires. The interior is very nice and very complete. The bench seat is in great condition and the dashboard is very original and features the original radio controls. The truck is fitted with a 3 speed column shift manual transmission with a custom cue ball shifter. It appears to be fitted with a 239cid flathead V8 engine. This truck is an excellent driver and runs very well. The current owner has owned it for 15 years now and will be sad to see it go.
