Description for Ford Other 1934
FOR SALE. 1934 Ford Deluxe 5 Window Coupe / Trunk Model, with original, working, glove box radio. Directional Signal lights have been added. Car is now 12 volts, so a 6 volt battery is required in the trunk to operate the radio in the dash. Although the car is an original, with good working mechanical brakes and 4:11 to 1 gears, I chose to make it look like a "Hot Rod" byadding 1935 Ford 16 inch wheels and radial tires. The original 17 inch wheels and tires go with the car, if you want them. If you want the original loo, instead of the Hot Rod look, change the tires. Myself, I like the stance the car has with the radials on it, plus the radials give it a better ride. A stock 34 Ford only came with a fuel gauge, ( which does not work), and an amp gauge,(which works). I have added a SW Temp Gauge and an SW Oil Pressure Gauge under the dash in a homemade attractive, out of the way gauge holder. To check the fuel, I bought a measuring stick,(looks like a paint stir stick), and has graduations on it for 3 different tank shapes. It is quite accurate. The last paint job on the car was in the 70's, and it was a laquer job. Subsequently, there is some cracking in the paint, so I would classify the paint as driver quality, except for the rear fenders. When I bought the car, I didn't like the way the original steel, back fenders looked, so I replaced them with another pair of Henry Ford steel fenders, painted with single stage Washington blue, which was an exact match. There are no fiberglas fenders on this car. The underside is clean, but not painted, with a re-arched rear spring. In closing I must say, that the car runs like a little gem.The few extras I have added are only to make it a little safer. The drive train has never been modified. They are only that way once.Payment - Cash, in person, or wire transfer. I will help with shipping pickup.
