Description for Ford Bronco 1973
Up for auction and offered at no reserve is my 1973 Bronco ½ Cab. The Bronco sold new at Canyon Ford in Phoenix Arizona. At some point in its life it ended up in Southern California and then the San Joaquin Valley. All areas are super dry and as a result the Bronco is rust free.
I purchased the Bronco from an elderly gentleman in Delano, California. He had owned the Bronco since 2003 and spent a lot of time and money building it. A binder full of receipts and documentation was given to me when I purchased the Bronco and it will be passed on to the new owner (along with the Mart report).
This Bronco has not been abused, wheeled or mudded. It was built with all the good stuff but never used for anything but short trips around town. If you are looking for a nice daily cruiser, something to take to local shows, a Saturday coffee or a serious off-roader this Bronco is one to consider
Over the last 25 years my hobby of collecting and restoring muscle cars has expanded to vintage 4x4s. It is getting increasingly difficult to find unmolested, original 4x4s that have not been abused. When I see something unique, well cared for and original I buy and enjoy it! That is exactly how this truck ended up in my collection. Unfortunately, from time to time I have to downsize the herd and that time is now. Some lucky EBAYER is going to end up with a really nice 1973 Ford Bronco!
Exterior:The Bronco was originally Grabber Blue but was repainted "Chrystal Blue Metalic" several years ago. The paint is very nice but does have minor imperfections. The crew at the local car shows and Saturday coffee might not find them but the Barret-Jackson crowd may. Rockers, floors, inner fenders and cowl are super dry and rust free. There is one patch panel over the passenger's side seat perch. I was expecting to find rust but when I inspected the floorboard from the underside. Instead I found a small hole that had been cut in the floorboard (possibly for aftermarket seats), the patch was covering this hole.I left the patch panel in place but sealed the hole from the underside with body adhesive. Glass is all in good condition and all panels doors and fenders fit nicely and close solid. Tires are like new BFG All Terrains and wheels are nice- Spare tire and wheel match.
Interior: Interior is great! New seats, door panels, fairly new carpet, roll-cage, handy console and great stereo. All gauges and lights work. The sending unit is bad on the auxiliary fuel tank so when running off that tank the gauge shows empty.
Mechanical:The mechanics on this Bronco are pretty special! Nicely built 302 with Edelbrock intake, 2-bbl carb, Magnaflow mufflers, pointless ignition, 4 core radiator and mechanical and electric fans.
Bronco has a 2" lift with variable coil springs, drop pitman arm and track arm bracket and dual shocks front and back. Front and rear diffs. have limited slip (Auburn in rear) and 4:10 gear ratio. Brakes are power with drums in the rear and disc up front. The original automatic trans. has been upgraded to a NP 435 4 speed. Both transmission and transfer case shift like butter! The Bronco has a 22 gallon main tank and 7 gallon auxiliary tank
Accessories: 8000 lb winch, handyman jack, miniature aluminum toolbox, tachometer, full roll-cage and AM/FM CD
If you are in the market for a Bronco this is one to be considered. This is a super nice, solid honest rig! Take it to cruise night or Saturday morning coffee or tuck it away at that special mountain retreat. And whenever you drive it get ready for lots of thumbs up and gas pump conversation! Don't let this one slip away!
Feel free to call Dean at 661-703-8402 should you have any questions and happy bidding!
I reserve the right to end auction early as the Bronco is for sale locally.
