Description for Ford Mustang 1987

Up for sale is a 1987 Ford Mustang LX 5.0, which has been restored and modified. I purchased the car roughly 7 years ago which had most of the work already completed. I have done some extras which are listed below. When I purchased it, it had 97,000 on the odometer. It now has 100,800 miles on the body. Engine is believed to be around 68K. So I have put less than 4,000 miles on it since owning it. It has ALWAYS been babied, clean, garaged and stored in the winters. I have entered it in many shows. The car is mint and very clean. If I could, I would keep it.

The car initially started out life as a 4 Cylinder LX, and over the progress of a year or so was transformed into the immaculate fox body you see today. The paint is a Porsche silver, with a tastefully accented two tone black on the hood which truly makes the car stand out. It is truly a very clean car that is fun to drive, and has one of the best exhaust sounds when punched.

The interior was initially red but was completely removed and dyed black. The door panels were replaced with new ones from Latemodel Restoration. All door handles, latches, locks, etc. are brand new. The headliner, carpet, visors and mats were also brand new. There are aftermarket gauges for oil and water temperature in a mount on the dash, including a 5" pedestal tach on the dash (with shift-light). The face-plate for the stock gauges was changed to white to match the others. There is a Pioneer head-unit and every stock speaker was replaced with JL Audio speakers. Multiple interior accessories from American Muscle, from door switches to the emergency brake handle. This is all powered by an OPTIMA RedTop battery placed in a battery box relocated to the trunk, which has a Summit Racing battery disconnect.
I had a new Edelbrock carburetor installed last fall (2017) in place of the Demon 650 listed below. I wanted one with a choke. The power steering lines were also replaced. As for the drive train, the 2.3L 4 cylinder was swapped out for a naturally aspirated 302 Ford V8. The motor and drive train have been modified with the following when the restoration took place.
-Heads are stock E7TE castings but have been ported and polished.
-Holley intake with a Demon 650 CFM 4-Barrel Carburetor (can come with car if interested)

Now for the bad.... There really is not bad, just a nuisance, butI never had it fixed. I asked when they changed out carb but they said to take to tranny guy, and I just haven't had time with my wife's condition. Essentially when they did the engine /tranny swap, they reinstalled the 4cyl speedo gear back into the tranny. So when driving, the speedo reads twice the speed you are going (50mph for 25mph). The other bad is a stone chip I received this summer on hood (very upset at that), and a on bottom door panel. The only onther flaw is when repainted, must of got a spec of dust in the paint on the front left quarter panel (just me nit picking). There is also an indentation from what I don't know on left front bumper. If you have any questions or need more pics, just let me know. I truly hate to see it go, but it is what it is.
