Description for Ford Model B 1932

1932 Ford Roadster
You are viewing a very cool old school build. The car was finished 18 years ago with 2,500 miles driven since the build was done. Prior to the build you see the roadster was in the 1962 movie State Fair, which was partially shot at the fairgrounds in Puyallup, WA south of Seattle. Starring in the movie was Pat Boone, Ann Margaret, Pam Tiffin and Bobby Darrin. The car looked different and was red. I have a few pictures of the car in its original build. Also, this roadster was invited to Blackie's show back in 2007, which was the 75th birthday of the 32 Ford and Blackie's 48th show. Once the car arrived at the show Blackie himself requested to have the car parked at the entrance to the show. He loved the car and wanted it up front and center. This is a very special car, way cool and fun to drive.

Please read on for more particulars of the car:
Body/Paint:
Original Henry Ford body unaltered. Functional cowl vent, original firewall. When the car was rebuilt it was taken down to bare metal with any issues addressed. Floor pans are Brookville due to the original build being channeled. Modified taillight stands and along with custom made rear frame horn covers.

Interior: The interior is pretty much stock with a Glide seat covered in black leather along with the rest of the interior. Finished behind seat as well. The seat was done the old way with stuffed pleats giving it the original look and comfort. The seat is adjustable. Trunk pull behind the seat. E brake works, full gauges, no tach. Push button start with manual electric fan switch. Nice banjo wheel with the original feel and look of a roadster.

Running Gear: The engine is a 53 flattie hopped up with a Merc crank and Jr cam. Offy heads, B&M blower with Webber carbs. MSD electronic ignition, puller electric manual fan, fender chrome headers. Trans is a C4 with adaptor to flathead. Rear end is a 57 Ford 9 inch with highway gears.

Suspension: Original 32 frame boxed. Original 32 front split wish bones with 36 rear. Pete and Jakes dropped axle with buggy rear spring set up professionally done. Vega steering box.

Bright work: Aftermarket windshield frame with manual wiper arm.

Glass: Replaced

Exhaust: Brakes: Brakes are So Cal Buick drum hidden disc brake set up and very traditional looking. Rear drums.

Wheels/Tires: Early Ford truck wheels with rings and 50 Merc caps. Tires are bias 50/60 style. 560/15 front and L78 15 rear.

Summary: This car represents a 32 roadster like back in the day when Hot Rodding was in its prime. Great car to drive and enjoy. Always well maintained and needs nothing. I have over 130 pictures of the car so please contact me and provide your email address if you would like additional pictures. Reasonable price so why build when you can enjoy today. Great value and a quality build for the money.
