Description for Ford Other Pickups 1929

Standing up tall and stripped down low with big punch in the front and a pickup bed in the back. Street rods are so much fun because they are all so unique. This one is a fresh build with an awesome Hemi power plant on display up front for all the world to see. Out back, it's doubtful that you will throw firewood in that bed, but it might come in handy for coolers and chairs or maybe even a... few trophies. This is a new build with only 400 miles on it since completed. The Copper Metallic paint is near flawless with only the faintest marks in the clear coat from wiping it down. Without fenders or a hood, the tall upright cab is accentuated even more than usual. There is an aggressive rake to the chassis that reinforces the serious intentions of the Hemi engine, and that stance gives the cab a slight forward tilt that looks awesome. A Magnaflow muffler parallels the rake and underlines the cab but can be bypassed for the open header sound in case you want to announce your arrival on the scene a bit ahead of time. The view from directly in front of this truck is sweet with a narrow grill, flanked by big round headlights. Above it is the rectangular windshield capturing the small back window within its frame with chrome wipers and mirrors extending from the top edges of the cab. Open the door and you will find a study in simplicity and minimalism. The beige door panel has a simple pattern embossed in the top and mirrored on the bottom. The two-tone bench seat can't get any more stripped down with the cab acting as the seat back, but the back is nicely trimmed out in beige vinyl and carries the look through to the headliner. The dashboard is a work of art and may contradict the minimalist description a bit. It has a body color top edge with a beautiful dark burled wood panel that holds chrome trimmed Stewart Warner gauges and billet control knobs. An Autometer tach is suspended from the ceiling and a T-handle shifter for the automatic transmission is mounted on the floor. A beefy Grant GT wheel feels good in your hands and the strength of the 4-spoke design may come in handy as you hang onto it when you cut that engine loose. That engine is quite a sight to see, and quite a formidable powerhouse. It is 392 cubic inches of awesome topped by dual Holley 4-barrel carbs that feed the beast. Chromed Chrysler Firepower valve covers seem to cover about the whole engine and those equal length headers can be run through the mufflers to please your neighbors, or electrically uncorked for a trip down the boulevard or down the strip. All that power is sent back through a 3-speed, 727 Torqueflite transmission to the Ford 9" rear end held in place by a four-link suspension and adjustable coil over shocks. Up front, adjustable coil overs working through control arms provide great drivability, and they are equipped with disc brakes too so that you can be sure to get this Rod hauled back down from speed quickly when you decide to let it run. The rubber meets the road through 21560R15 tires in the rear mounted on 5-spoke alloys, and 165/80R15 tires in the front mounted on 10 spoke, wagon wheel style alloys. This car is full of more beautiful details than can be mentioned here. And besides, pictures don't do the gorgeous paint justice. Come on down and check this trick '29 pickup out up close and personal for yourself.
