Description for Ford Galaxie 1963
For Sales is a rolling frame and the main body ONLY. The frame does include a ford 9 inch rear which is one of the most desirable rears for any hot rod. I do not know the specifics of the rear such as open or Posi, current gear ratio, etc.I bought the complete car for a father son project. I purchased a second frame and body that were in better shape to save us time.Frame Condition: Solid in all areas except the main frame on right had side under passenger door. Rusted and needs repair. I could lift at that point with my floor jack but very rusted. All the rest of the frame looks solid.
Body Condition: Firewall solid. Front windshield frame solid. Rust holes in the drains by the windshield wipers motor area. Rockers solid. Floor needs replacing by front and rear seats. Solid under rear seat. Trunk floor needs replacing. Upper quarters solid. Trunk lid channel needs repairs. Lower rear quarters need replacing.
Note: One picture shows the transmission crossmember, I am keeping that.
I'm happy to answer any additional questions you may have or send additional pictures privately. I'm a honest ebayer and I don't want any surprises for a potential buyer. Local pick up only or buyer needs to coordinate shipping from my home. Given the age and how rare, I don't want this to go to waste, therefore I'm pricing to move it and get it to a new owner. Good luck!
One addition: When I stated all the quarter bottoms need to be replaced, I realize that the pictures make them look ok. But some bodywork novice covered the lower quarters in fiberglass mess and bondo before painting the car black. I just want you potential buyers to be well informed.
Note: Error in heading corrected. This is a 63 not a 64
