Description for Ford Mustang 1966
This 1966 pro touring Mustang takes owning and driving a classic car to a whole new level. It has a killer stance combined with a small block, automatic transmission and all of the accessories you could ask for. Our professionally modified build will allow you to just get in, drive and arrive in style.
We gave the car an aggressive look by using a Mustang II front end with tubular upper & lower control arms and rack and pinion steering. On the rear we added a 4-link, rear sway bar, and put adjustable Aldan Eagle coilovers all the way around.
The car was completely taken apart for restoration and then added new fenders, quarter panels and floor pan, along with all new exterior chrome. The paint lays smooth and slick with PPG Viper red paint and Orion silver stripes buried under the clear coat. All suspension parts are powder coated to maintain a high quality and finished look.
Open the doors and you will find a custom black interior with Scat seats, custom door panels, one piece headliner with Lokar door and window cranks. The custom brushed aluminum instrument panel includes Autometer Sport Competition electric gauges, LED turn indicators, Lokar shifter and an Alpine stereo.
A classic Mustang needs power and an attractive appearance under the hood, both of which are found in this beauty. We smoothed the shock towers and firewall, and painted the engine bay and bottom of car the same eye-catching color. The car is powered by a small block 302 ci, producing 350+ HP. The engine bay is decked out in aluminum and all of the wiring has been relocated to the trunk for a clean look. On top of the motor you will find a red K&N air cleaner to stay with the color theme on the car, feeding air into a Quick Fuel 680 CFM carburetor and Edelbrock intake. The aluminum valve covers grab the attention of anyone taking a peek under the hood. Sound is produced from the JBA stainless steel headers, 2.5" pipes and Super 44 Flowmaster mufflers. Bolted to the motor is a built C4 automatic transmission sending power to the 3.25 gears in the posi-traction rear end. Stopping power comes courtesy of four wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. American Racing wheels are wrapped with Goodyear Eagle GT tires, front tires 215/75/14 and rears 245/45/17.
With plenty of power under the hood and an aggressive stance, this pro-touring car certainly turns heads. It has won multiple car show awards across the state of Iowa and Good Guys. There is much more invested in building this car than the sale price but it is time to build the next project and more shop room is needed. Please contact me with any questions at 515-729-2137.
