Description for Ford Covertible 1939
1939 Ford Convertible With Columbia | Description This 1939 Ford Convertible has to be the best one in the world. All my V8 friends relates to it as a piece of jewelry. To start with it was always a Southern California rust free car. Restoration was completed in 2001, but looks like it was finished yesterday, not one blemish anywhere, GUARANTEED. The paint color is coach maroon, single stage, no clear on this car. Interior is red leather which was a special order in 1939 from a 1939 Mercury(see picture). All upholstery including top was done from scratch, no Labarron Bonny on this car. It was restored by Jerry Jensen of Southern California. Jerry's name with pictures of his 1939 Ford Parts are in the 1938/1939 restorers book including a picture of the body number tag of this car. Jerry is a renowned upholster. People would wait as long as 2 years to get him to upholster their car. Anyone that knows Jerry knows he was a very particular person when it comes to restoring his cars. Every piece had to be perfect with NOS or perfect used parts. A lot of NOS was used in the restoration. Has original restored 1939 Ford Script fog lights with original switch under dash. Has complete NOS hot air heater with defroster with correct switch under dash. All gauge NOS. All drive train was rebuilt with lots of NOS including the Columbia. The original engine has all internals like a 1949-1953 Mercury which makes it a 255C.I. With the Columbia the car is capable of running 70mph all day long with ease. Has original body # tag on firewall. How many of these have you seen? The undercarriage looks the same as the topside. Car has been showed several times at V8 meets in California scoring 999 out of 1000 at the first show. Also a senior first in 2002 at the A.A.C.A meet. This car is for the person who wont settle for anything but the best. Car has always been covered in a climate controlled garage since restored. I have owned the car 4 years and has never been out of my garage except for these pictures. Pictures don't do this car justice. I would be interested in trading on an all original(no exceptions) 1932-1936 3 window only Ford. No prior rust buckets, projects, or hot rods please. Serious buyers may call me, Don, 812-606-7845, 12 Noon - 12 Midnight EST. Car is for sale local, so I have the right to cancel auction at any time. See my other listings for more great items!
