HISTORY: This is NOT your average stock Econoline E-100 van! The gentleman who meticulously restored this “time capsuled” van was nationally known as a highly respected Ford Car Club Enthusiast. Ford Master Technician. and THE “Ford Tech Tip” Innovator & Book Publisher. Dick Flynn babied and owned this AMAZING van for over 37 years. Unfortunately. Dick passed away and I was the lucky next owner. As you will see in the endless list of upgrades. he always went “over the top” on everything he did to this van… I bought the van 1 year ago. which came with all of the history. hand written records. and 100 plus photos that Dick Flynn took and labelled during his restoration. This van won various Classic Ford Car Club trophies. Some of the meticulous over-the-top details are as follows. The complete under carriage. wheel wells. frame and inside of the doors were Premium/anti-rust proof coated in 70's/80's by hand. This van has NO RUST!!! Never Smoked in. It has a straight body with 71. 31 miles. Original 1970's plates installed - no tabs or emissions required. Since I owned the van. I installed the following: New Battery. Custom made 115 Amp Solid State Alternator. Spark plugs. Spark plug wires. new Cap/Rotor. Petronix Electronic Ignition. Thermostat. V Belt. New rear axle bearings and installed custom made thicker axle plates by Dick Flynn. The coolant. engine oil. gearbox. and rear end oil have all been changed out recently. The pre-fuel pump and carb fuel filters are also new. Only Non-Ethanol gas has been used in this van. This van comes with an extra Distributor. Borg-Warner O/D Solenoid. extra Cruise Control lever. and a set of the original new Brake Pads and new Brakes Shoes still in the box. I also have the manual and hand drawn electrical schematics by Dick Flynn that cover various electrical systems that correlate with the upgrades and meticulously labelled wiring and relays under the dash. Note: The tires on this van are Good Year Eagle GT+4’s from the early 1990’s. All 4 tires are in good condition. One wheel had a recent nail flat and only the tire was damaged beyond repair. Currently the right rear tire has the full size unmatched spare tire installed. It would probably be a good idea to change out all 4 tires due to the MFG date of the tires. I could not find a new matching Good Year Eagle GT+4 tire with white lettering. so I wanted to allow the new buyer to purchase their choice of next tires. (ie; white/black wall or with lettering). The only reason I am selling the van is because I have too many other vehicles and I would like to pass Dick Flynn’s 70’s legacy on to the next passionate owner that will cherish it just as he did.
