Description for Ford Mustang 1970

Thank you for viewing my auction. Please read through the entire auction before asking questions. I love this car, but I really want a 65-66. Wife says I can't have two classics at once!
Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. I've owned more than 25 classic mustangs in my life and have sold the parts for nearly 20 years. I am NOT a dealer. This is a hobby.

You're viewing a very rare 1970 Mustang coupe in Grabber Orange. As you can see from the Marti Report, this car is 1 of 48. As you can probably imagine, there probably aren't many left now. Most grabber cars you see are Mach 1s, so this car is very unusual. If you're looking for a car to stand out from the herd, this is the one. It's not a restored car. This is an EARLY 1970 car, produced in Nov. 1969.
Aside from the color combination, this car also boasts power steering, power brakes, the Decor Group (which includes vinyl top and deluxe seats), console and more. It's a 302, automatic car.
Low reserve.
This car was in the same family since new and rarely driven. I believe the 47884 miles to be original. The original owners indicated that it was, and you can see other indications, such as the original interior condition, undercarriage condition, original coil and other signs of original miles. The "OK" stamp is still very visible on the valve cover.
This car runs, stops and drives very reliably. Some hesitation initially when it's cold. I have driven it around town and on the highway on the weekends and to car shows. There is usually a puff of smoke at start up, which my mechanic said indicates a need for new valve seals. Easy fix.
Look at all of these updates and improvements:
Features:
  • A new dash cap
  • Rebuilt OEM carb
  • Newer brakes
  • New front bumper (comes with the car, needs to be installed)
  • Hood scoop (comes with the car, not installed)
  • Front chin spoiler (comes with the car, not installed)
  • New 15" firestone tires
  • New 15" stealth black magnum 500s with magnum 500 spinners
  • New voltage regulator
  • New decal on hood and taillight panel (easily removed if you prefer it orange)
  • New air cleaner (comes with factory blue air cleaner)
  • New hood lip trim
  • Newer vinyl top in excellent condition
  • New trunk mat
  • Nice single exhaust
  • New flip down gas cap
  • New pony grille emblem

The majority of the paint is original, according to previous owner. You can see that the paint on the driver side fender is slightly different shade of orange. There are a couple spots touched up on the car. Some small dings, and nicks here and there. I personally would never paint this car, to retain as much of its originality as possible.
As far as rust, this car is in unbelievable condition. The previous owners said they kept it in the garage for most of its life, and it shows. There are a couple small spots on the doors, but it's very minor. Underneath the car, it's very clean. I did not see any cancer at all. Just minor surface rust. Because of the majority of the paint is original, you know the car isn't hiding a ton of bondo. Trunk is in great condition. Original SPARE TIRE is included!
Car comes with original orange 14" wheels with good tires (which are from the 1990s and have nearly perfect tread, which is further evidence of its low mileage).
In summary, this car is definitely an attention getter and unique. It isn't perfect, but, to me, that's part of its strength. It's a very original 1970 coupe.
