Description for Ford Torino 1970

1970 Ford Torino Squire Wagon

Exterior: No rust, no accidents. One exterior repaint, jambs are original. Car was sold new in Los Gatos, CA at Paul Swanson Ford. Came to Oregon about 10 years ago. Believed to be 75,XXX original miles. Several blemishes in paint, and a few dings in the roof from storage. All original glass. Windshield has wiper burns, but rear glass is near perfect. The hideaway headlight grille was added by a previous owner, but the vacuum switch and reserve tank were not added. Therefore, the headlight doors need to be actuated manually. All parts are available. The woodgrain decals are faded and there is a "patch" on the right rear quarter panel woodgrain. Chrome is original and shiny, but has normal wear for a 48 year old car.

Interior: 100% original interior. Has split in drivers portion of front seat. Rear seat is perfect. Dash has a crack in the center. Headliner has no tears. Door panels are nice. Carpet is original, and shows a little wear on drivers' side.

Engine/Mechanical: Belived to be 75,XXX original miles, and it runs and drives as such. Recently serviced and ready to go. All original drivetrain. 351-C 2v, C-4 Automatic, P/S, PDB, A/C (cold), Tinted Glass, Power Rear Window, Heavy Duty Suspension.

The Good; An honest, mostly original Squire Wagon that runs and drives excellent! No rust or accidents! A period piece of Americana that is quickly fading. Can be driven and enjoyed as is, or easily brought to the next level. Recent service including a new master cylinder and tune up. Although the hideaway grille is not working, it is worth a good amount of money, should someone want to sell it, and return the car to the standard Torino grille.

The Bad; Needs new woodgrain and a few cosmetic items. The tires are old, and will need to be replaced soon. The AM radio does not work.
