Description for Ford Mustang 1988

1988 Mustang vert
I'm basically selling the whole car for far less than what it would cost to build the motor. This car is a drive-able project. I brought it back from a local upholstery shop that was supposed to do the top and interior, but got too busy to finish it right away. They stripped the back half of the interior and pulled the material and back window off of the top frame and stopped there. A brand new black top and rear window comes with, but will need to be installed. The shop still has the original seats and rear side panels which are untouched and in ok shape, but has them stored behind a bunch of stuff. I've been having a hard time getting him to dig them out. It's an older guy and I don't want to rush him. Therefor, I can't guarantee the car will come with them. Eventually, he'll get them out, but I don't know when that'll be. I threw some mid 90's mustang seats in it, so it can be driven. It runs strong, and is a very fast street car. I haven't taken it to the track, but it should at least be capable of low 12's, probably high 11's if you can get it to hook. I've had many mustangs, and I can tell you this motor is a long way from stock. I was told the motor is a 347 stroker, and I believe it. However, that part I can't confirm, as I don't want to take the motor apart. What I can confirm is what I can see. It has Trick flow aluminum heads, Trick Flow intake, harland sharp roller rockers, and a healthy cam for starters. It also has ceramic coated bbk headers and h pipe with flowmaster dumps, edelbrock 70 mm throttle body, c&l meter, and ford racing pulleys. The t5 trans shifts great with a steeda short shifter. The 8.8 rear has 4.10s in it. It has brand new headlights on it, and a box of brand new parts to go with including new seat belts, new window trim, new cowl vent, and some other stuff. The car has 17" cobra r wheels, and a cowl hood on it. It also comes with the factory hood. The car will need paint to look nice, but doesn't look terrible like it is either. You could probably paint just the trunk lid and hood, or just put the stock hood back on it, and it would look presentable. As far as rust, the car isn't too bad yet, as it was a Mississippicar before. It does have some rust starting on one of the quarters, some minor rust at the very front drivers floor pan, and minimal rust starting on the lower shock towers, but not bad at all. The lower shock towers are usually rusted and gone on these cars. This one is pretty good yet. The doors, trunk, and rockers look good. This would be an easy winter project for someone that has the time to do so. You can have a nice, fast, mustang to drive come spring. Or, drive it as is like you stole it, or swap out the drive train with the stock drive train in that light notch back and go racing :)
