We have had problems in the past when a buyer wins... then disappears. Thank you. This Galaxie 500 has 95,216 miles, it has been well maintained over the years. The interior is reasonably clean and the frame and body are strong. The tires are probably 21 years old but hold air. The right front tire was replaced with the spare. There are some dings, scratches and paint oxidation. The paint looks ok, but is not perfect. There was some damage to the vinyl top which can be seen on the drivers side. For the most part, the car is solid. There is some rust around the trunk weatherstrip, the trunk lid and some on the underside of the hood. The floors, rockers, and fenders seem ok. The is a dent in the drivers side along with a scratch which can be seen in the pictures. The passenger side looks good. The bumpers have some chrome peel and pitting, but seem to be straight. The grille has some minor damage to some of the plastic in the center section. The hood will latch, but there is a slight bend on the drivers side hood hinge that needs to be straightened. There is a small dent in the drivers side front fender and there is some surface rust behind the rear wheels. The trunk floor seems intact, it is wet from washing it out, it does not fill up with water when it rains. The passenger side door will not open due to the linkage becoming unhooked. There are some minor imperfections in the seats, small tears and small holes. The motor is free and turns, we have not had time to put a battery in it and try to run it. We plan on doing that before the auction ends, and will update the listing. It has been in storage since 1996. It spent some time being stored inside, but also spent some time outside without a car cover. The side mirrors need to be replaced, the rear view mirror is in the trunk along with an extra wheel/tire and jack and jack tools. It was a running, driving, inspected car when it went into storage and has held up very well over the years.
The pictures show all corners of the car. If you have any questions, please ask them or come see the vehicle if possible before the auction ends. If there are any parts of the vehicle that are not shown in the pictures, please contact me and we can send you more details of any specific area. Please send a message if you have any questions. We will respond back to everyone as soon as possible. Thank you.
