Description for Ford Model T 1923
I built this original titled 1923 T-bucket over the past 5-7 years. It was a new gray gel-coat fiberglass body of unknown manufacturer that was little more than a shell with a firewall. It may have been manufactured by the MAS company. I purchased the body from the widow of a friend who won it at a car show. It is roughly 7" longer in the middle than the majority of T-buckets.The (oak) interior structure of which there is much was all molded in using epoxy resin as was the 1932 Speedway dash and bed. Floor is resin coated (top and bottom) 3/4 inch plywood. Bronze tinted windshield. Buick LED tail lights, Dietz headlights. Motorcycle front turn signals. Custom built frame is powder coated 2x3 3/16 wall tubing with reinforced plating at kick-ups. OE reversed Corvair steering gear box mounted on Total Performance welded bracket. Aldan adjustable coil-over rear gas shocks.Custom built 17 gal stainless fuel tank w/ pop-up fuel fill.Chevy 350 (.030) w/ 194 Camel Hump 327 iron heads, screw in studs/ guide plates, Magnum rollers, solid Competetion Cams Duntov 20/20 cam, Edelbrock Air Gap intake, Holley 780 mechanical secondary/ w/ large cc accelerator pumps, electric fuel pump, billet Pertronix distributor, Taylor plug wires. Stainless Works stainless headers and mufflers. Original Cal Custom valve covers w/ customer spacer to clear rockers. Lokar oil and trans dipsticks.Polished Turbo 350 trans w/ shift plate. Genie shifter. Optima battery and custom hold down. 5 row brass and copper radiator. 8" Ford open rear w/ 3.00 gear/drum brakes. ET mags front 15x4 and rear 15x12. Hoosier 31-16.50 R15 rear tires Galaxy 165 R15 front tires. Speedway chrome dropped axle w/ Wilwood hubs/brakes/rotors, stainless flex lines. (Line-loc installed but not switch connected) Speedway hairpins front and rear. Haneline gauges in engine turned bezel. Moon tach. Stainless hardware utilized extensively throughout. Wired w/ Painless wiring harness. The car fires right up and drives great. Steering is tight and light to turn. Brakes are firm and stop great. Ground clearance is right on point even with two adults seated. Ride quality is far better than most T-buckets. Acceleration is as you might expect with the power-to-weight ratio of this car. The Interior is only 6 months old, brown and tan with diamond pleat panels. You will not be disappointed in the build quality of this car. Selling to financeother projects. I welcome any questions. Thanks for looking.
